Access to Black Canyon and Grand Mesa
Easy to find and Seamless Check-In

ROAD TRIP!!! Keep your eyes open wide on the way here. Every angle of approach lays out iconic American landscapes. From your front door, look at the horizon line featuring the jagged peaks of the San Juan and West Elk ranges. Turn around and watch the sunset go down purple and pink and brilliant beyond the Grand Mesa.

On clear dark nights, the Milky Way comes out to play. When you can see it, and you're here, and it's quiet, and you've got your person or your dog or its just you............ Wow, that's nice.

To enhance the stargazing, a fire-pit is ready for you with all the wood, kindling and matches you'll need. Now choose your own adventure. What will you have? S'mores? Smooches? A stiff drink? Maybe lose yourself changing eye levels from shining stars to smoldering embers. A ready- hung hammock is also perfect if you're not feeling fiery.

To the inside! Your bed is supremely comfortable and requires no steps nor ladders. Guests appreciate having their bed and frame at ground level. In the loft above, there is also a lovely double bed with skylights above. This is great to view the night sky, or if your group requires more than one bed.

The kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked and easy to use. Completely on-grid utilities means on-demand hot water to shower away whatever you've been into all day. The kitchen is small but mighty. A two burner hot plate, microwave and capable toaster oven make most cooking possible. Coffee and tea station are ready and on-point.

Outdoor activities are on most guests' agenda. You're in a good spot. The property is equidistant to both entrances of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. The Grand Mesa sounds like something you've heard of, but aren't quite sure. It's spectacular in all seasons for all kinds of outdoor activities, especially hiking. The largest flat-top mountain IN THE WORLD!

Some quick hitters:

- Pets are welcome for a fee. Please add them to your guest count to pay that fee. Please don't bring dogs who are uncontrollable for barking, shedding, bathroom issues or tearing stuff up.

- Marijuana tourism is welcomed and now recreationally available in the town of Cedaredge (15 mins). Smoking is allowed on site, but NOT inside.

- WiFi is fast and reliable for remote work or streaming.

- Small towns of Delta, Hotchkiss, Paonia, Cedaredge provide nearby groceries, gas, shopping and restaurants. I have plenty of recommendations in each category.

- Bigger or more touristic towns like Ouray, Telluride, Moab, Grand Junction and Montrose are all day trips from here.

- Perfect for a stop mid road-trip. Perfect for a birthday or anniversary. Gorgeous getaway from the Front Range.

- Easy access to two different Colorado wine regions.

-Managed by just me and my cleaning team. I've automated quite a bit to give you the best information immediately. I also keep an eye on my messages to give you the best possible communication.

-On this property I expect my guests to have basic respect for their fellow humans. I proudly welcome all LGBTQ folk. I also proudly welcome people of any color, race, religion, ethnicity, culture, political leaning---whatever. If you're a good person and your dollars are green, I want your business!

Guests will have complete and private access to their Tiny House. I use keypad locks so you will let yourself in upon arrival without waiting for a host or asking permission.

On the same property are three other rentals. They're about a baseball throw away. No tiny house can look into the other tiny houses for privacy. Please be aware that other guests may be staying in those units during your stay. It is easy for guests to choose to interact with each other, or not.

There is always some new project happening at this property. You may see one of my cleaning team members turning over another unit. You may also see Charley (me!) if I happen to be working on a project at the property. Please say 'hi'! We don't bite, but are likely to leave you on your own while you're here unless you give us a sign.

Welcome to Delta County! This gem of an extended neighborhood is still a bit of a tourist secret. There is so much to offer, and all so close!

Exceptional food and drink options abound. We're located in the heart of Colorado farm country. There are organic farms and orchards and wineries in every direction. The many geographies and geologies present fabulously diverse terroir. Plenty of restaurants and full service grocery stores in the area too.

The Great Outdoors are calling, and you must answer! This area is a dream for the outdoorsman. The Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is in our backyard. The largest flat-top mountain in the world, The Grand Mesa makes the silhouette for your sunsets. We would love to give you some recommendations to get the most out of your time in the area.

The property is easy to find and parking is never a problem. We love our neighbors and do our best to support the local economy.

You'll be welcome to walk through that Turquoise Door.

It does require your own wheels to arrive and depart here. Plenty of free parking, including for your big toys. The access is easy- at the end of a flat road, and with minimal snow compared to other parts of the state.

Grand Junction- 60 mins- Airport, Bigger City
Delta- 10 mins- Gas, Groceries, Restaurants
Cedarege- 15 mins- Grand Mesa, Groceries, Restaurants
Montrose- 40 mins- Black Canyon, Shopping, Restaurants, Airport

- Your pet is welcome here for a fee. The easiest way to apply this fee is by updating the guest count to include them. In the interest of preserving my place and business, please do not bring dogs with uncontrollable bathroom, barking, drooling or destruction tendencies.

- It is possible to have a friend or relative come by to hang out who is not on your reservation. It is not okay to have them sleep over. Please keep me in the loop via airbnb messages if unaccounted people are coming over.

- Marijuana tourism is welcome. But no smoking of any kind on the inside, pretty please.

- I'm always trying to figure out what brings people to my place. Would you please let me know in a few words or sentences what brings YOU out this way? I can always adjust my strategies depending on your booking reasons and feedback after your stay.
Your pets are welcome, but there is a fee for their stay. Please update your guest count to include your pets and the fee will be automatically charged.
If your pet has uncontrollable issues like drooling/shedding/barking/house training, please look to book another space.

Smoking is allowed ONLY outside. Smoking inside will incur additional cleaning fees. No illegal drugs on property whatsoever.

Please do not bring people to the property who are unaccounted for in the reservation under any circumstances without permission.
During your stay at The Turquoise Door at Triple View Tiny Houses, you'll be close to Valley Lanes Bowling.
  • 7 minutes by car from Valley Lanes Bowling and 9 minutes from Gunnison River
The Turquoise Door at Triple View Tiny Houses offers its guests barbecue grills and a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.

Very central location for most nearby attractions
Lodging is very convenient to most local attractions; within half-hour to 2 hours driving time of Grand Mesa (to north), Uncompahgre forest (to SE), Black Canyon north rim (to SE), Escalante canyonlands (just to NW of Delta), while the Gunnison River flows past just below the entrance to the property. Quiet rural location, but only a few miles from gas, grocery stores, a Walmart (!) even... Cabin is not quite as "tiny" as it sounds, it really does have adequate space, various cooking appliances, etc. -- plus a "front yard" with table, chairs, grille, fire pit, etc. I would agree with the host that midsummer can be a bit of a struggle here (be careful of sun exposure through windows, etc.). But for a spring or fall trip get your reservations in early. (maybe even for winter, with a ski area just across the mesa) We were dealing with constant smoke from all the western fires, etc. -- but our biggest problem was deciding where all to go in the limited time we had.

Stylishly Rustic
Everything needed was there, really clean & shiny where shine was appropriate. Knotty pine and tasteful wood were the primary building materials. Two old school library chairs were provided. We used them for luggage. To relax I brought inside one of the lawn chairs from around the fire-pit. We were visiting family and only returned to the Blue Door” to sleep at nights.

We loved this tiny house. It has all we needed for our one night stay. We were 4 people and despite the small space we managed to be very comfortable. It rained when we arrived so we couldn’t take advantage of the outdoors but this is a great option for stargazing or bonfire. The area around is quiet and private. We really enjoyed our stay there. The house smelled like pine. Really nice.

We loved this tiny house. It was a gem of a find for us, and very conveniently located for us to explore the Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP. It sits about halfway between the two routes - going in opposite directions - to the north and south rims of the park. The house itself was perfect and we felt so at home and relaxed there. It was also very easy to step outside with our dog when needed or just go for a stroll down to the river - via “The Draw” path. Gorgeous. There were even chairs and a fire pit there to sit and relax. We’ll be returning to the house for sure, and may also check out the other houses available there. We were very impressed.
