The hotel staff were not the friendliest, even to get basic service out of them you had to tip. The room was never cleaned before 5pm despite us asking for earlier cleaning and we agreed late check out but a maid came knocking to remove us from the room at 11am. Second time staying disappointing to see standards slipping- if it weren’t for the staff express passes we wouldn’t stay again

Expecting more. Thought the room and bathroom would be a little nicer than it was. One day was woken up by construction above our room. They knew there was construction in that room area. They shouldn’t of booked that room. Another night a guest opened our door to our room in the middle of the night. That’s unacceptable.

Great hotel if visiting Universal parks.
We loved this hotel. Very convenient to Universal parks by 3 minute walk or water taxi. Also the complementary express pass to the parks was a great bonus. Staff was very friendly. Hotel was very clean.

Service everywhere on property is efficient, friendly, reliable and professional. Amenities are plentiful. Safety and ease to park can not be matched. The pool is warm. Pool toys and activities are abundant (volleyball, slide, sandy area, zero entry, noodles, beach balls, billiards, ping pong, etc.

Brilliant property to stay at with easy access to the universal parks. Hurricane helene did dampen our stay though. We would have thought we would have the ability to change our express pass to a different day after our visit. This would have been a nice touch to make sure we made the most out of our express pass as there were a lot of weather delays due to the hurricane.

We usually love our stay at Hard Rock but this was a little disappointing. We requested a quiet room, however we were put in a room directly above the big air conditioning units which ran all night. We could sleep with ear plugs in, so didnt request to move but having requested a quiet room we were a little surprised! The room itself was also a bit tired looking and shabby which again is unusual for Hard Rock.

Didn’t get told that first floor was pet floor
Our stay was great as usual until the dogs down the hallway started barking against one another like a barking war. When we checked in we were told that if we wanted a first level room that it was ready now. This being 8:30am on check in day. So we said absolutely so we had a place to rest halfway through the day. Come to find out, the first floor is the pet floor. First issue, when we checked in, and my wife was told about the room availability, we were never informed that the first floor was the dog floor. Second, if we would’ve known that the first floor was a pet floor. We would’ve never opted into getting into our room early because my wife and I have severe pet allergies. After a very unrestful night of sleep, my wife and I decided to check out early, and just park our car back over at the garage cause we didn’t want nothing to do with the hotel since they fell to tell us that we were on the pet floor. We have stayed here before and have never had an issue. However, when you go to check into a hotel , if there is a pet floor, there should be a right to know for the customer while checking in. Because of my wife’s allergies, she was not able to sleep at all that night. Therefore, we had a very expensive TV to watch and that was it. the manager addressed in the morning and things were taking care of other ways. Hard Rock is a great hotel because of the pool, the environment, and the food at the resort. However, not being told about the pet floor was inexcusable.
