The property was a really good one. It was wonderfully appointed, ideally situated and overall very clean. The notable exception was the tile floor that looked good but desperately needed a wet mopping.
The problem was dealing with the management. On checking in I was told I needed to complete registration forms and drop them in a lock box in the lobby. I checked all my emails from Vacasa and found no forms. I asked that they be sent to me and meanwhile filled out pertinent info (car, license, contact info etc. on a piece of paper and dropped it on the box.
Then began a chain of text messages to and from what seemed to be multiple number of Vacasa people. They totaled 32. I was told I needed the forms, I was told they would have them sent, I was told they were working on it, I was told to be patient etc. etc. this continued until two days before checkout, at which time I was told they would”reach out when they new something.” This never happened.
So for six days, there was a background undercurrent of thinking that something really needed to be done, yet nothing I could do would bring about the forms I was supposed to us. It was a bit bizarre, and definitely frustrating.
