Please ensure that new unused toiletries are left in the rooms before new guests arrive. I was disappointed to find a have used tube of lotion. Also, let's get rid of the mold that is harbouring in the sink. It's not directly visible, but is very visible when you look at the mirror.

We were hearing every noise coming from the other rooms. It wasn’t quite place. Rooms are so close to each other Ceiling level is so live Room was freezing cold when we entered the room, it took 1 hour to get warm.

Beware of unknown fees
Overall the hotel is a fine hotel to stay at. Two issues that arose was: It took about 10 minutes for the hot water to reach sufficient warmth to be able to shower (it was still overly warm, not hot). Granted I was on the top floor, so that could explain the delay in hotnwater reaching the shower. The 2nd issue was the unexpected "suatainability fee" that had to be paid when checking out. Not once during the booking through Hotels.com, or at the initial check-in was there a mention of additional fees. It was surprising that once you pay you booking and verify there are no other charges.....that at the end you get a random "sustainability fee". When I asked why and for what reason the sustainably fee was collected for, the receptionist tried to give a vague answer that it's for the hotel. When I said "you dont know why it' being collected", the recptionist flat out said "no". Again, overall the hotel itself is clean, safe and at a great location. Just be aware of unkown fees.

The rooms are large and very clean. The restaurant was great and staff were absolutely amazing. Garage was very tight in areas wouldn’t recommend if you’re coming with a truck and want indoor parking. I would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the Arc from Nov. 15th to the 16th. Hassan, the concierge (I believe) was the highlight of our stay. What a delight! He has excellent customer service, great sense of humour, so polite and pleasant. He was incredibly helpful as well. I had no cash on me and we were behind schedule for leaving, I wanted to leave a cash tip for him because he left a lasting impression to me and my family. I feel like you don't see service like this or personality in staff like this in many places these days. I'll be back to Ottawa and will make a special stop to make sure I deliver on that tip! Thank you Hassan! Great job at representing Arc Hotel!

Great location, great service
Visited Ottawa as a tourist for 4 days. The Arc located within walking distance to several Ottawa destinations like Capital Hill, Byward Market and the National Gallery. There are many restaurants close by, especially if you don't mind a short walk to Bank Street. The room was clean and smelled fresh. We asked for down/feather bedding to be removed prior to arrival and it was. We only ate breakfast in the Arc Lounge Restaurant, and it was fresh, well prepared and delicious. Staff were all friendly, welcoming and attentive. Our room faced the street, and at times there was alot of traffic noise, sometimes disrupting sleep - earplugs were the answer! The bathroom was very small - functional and clean, just not much room for toiletries and to hang towels. Overall an excellent stay and good value for the price.

Pros: location was amazing (walking distance to everything! 5-10 mins! Awesome!) and their on site parking feels really safe as underground and private (you need a special code to access). Loved that we could park early as well before checkin to do some sights and shopping beforehand. Hotel looked kept up well and the room was decent size for one night. It looked clean, with just a few areas needing touchups. Staff super friendly and helpful. Cons: water pressure for shower was really low. But I think the major point to consider is if you’re a light sleeper: you can always hear when someone is taking a shower or if doors are opening/closing. At one point, there was 5 mins of constant opening and closing of doors that we thought there was an emergency going on but if was just regular traffic/ cleaning services. They def need to up the budget on noise reduction/doora as I probably will choose another hotel next time if we stayed overnight again. We had a good stay but that definitely made our stay rating more adequate than good
