Otter crest was great, the studio we were in had lovely views and was well taken care of. The heat was confusing as fall was upon us early. Every room had a wall unit with its own power/temp dial, but none worked. a quick call pointed us to a "hidden' thermostat near the dark entrance that controlled it all. kinda of a duh moment. We got pizza from the restaurant and it was good. The one annoyance was that coffee was provided, but there were no coffee filters.

The view from our room was fabulous but didn’t realize that there weren’t any elevators. We were told the bell man would help us carry our luggage to the second floor and he took one bag up and left. We made it work but he saw that we were 2 older women and he could have helped with the other larger luggage.

Older remote place with great views
A beautiful off the beaten path but older place. No elevators so must haul luggage up several stairs depending on where you stay. They do offer help to haul luggage to room if needed.

LONG walk with steep inclines to & from room. Paving the guest parking lot would be helpful when bringing luggage to/from rooms. Busboy service nowhere to be seen at our arrival or departure. Room walls must be thin - lots of noise from adjoining room. Beautiful view from balcony & convenient access to beach & Devils Punchbowl.

It’s a very large property. All the parking is quite a distance to the rooms. Shuttle by golf cart is available. We used it to get our belongings to and from the car. Had a nice view off balcony. I would have liked a chair in the room to be able to sit on while putting on shoes.

The pool here is warm and delightfully relaxing. We had dinner at the on propwrty restaurant and it was delicious. All in all we had a successful trip, however there were a few things that detracted from the great time we were having. Unfortunately our ocean view room had veryyyyy limited view of the ocean and there was a broken hook in the bathroom and broken handle to the closet. Our beds were not comfortable. Weve stayed here before where everything was perfect and we saw whales from our room. It was disappointing to see that you had to go outside to see the ocean and all the little broken things made the room feel run down.

We loved this property. Our favorite place we stayed along the Oregon Coast. We had panoramic views of the ocean from our room and balcony, the bed was amazingly comfortable, and we had a full kitchen which was an unexpected treat. The grounds of the pro are also stunning and beautiful with so many plants to look at. You can also walk to the beach easily and check out some fun tidepools. 10/10 recommend this hotel.
