Great location very easy to walk about Oxford centre. Had a 'Superior Front Facing Double Ensuite' for two nights, large and clean, but let down by a number of faults in the bathroom (loose towel rails, loose sink tap, leaking toilet cistern and poorly sealed shower screen). Decor also not giving a 'premium' feel. However bed comfortable and room quiet, so good nights rest! Staff friendly and welcoming. Have stayed here before but not in a 'superior' room, cannot beat the location!

bit of an old style English hotel, 3rd floor walkup in a spiral staircase. Main issue was when the wind was up there was a persistent grinding noise from the roof that I asked about but no one knew how to help. so not a great trip really

The Buttery is in a perfect location, very central but on a pedestrianised street with a lovely vibe to it. The staff were very welcoming and the room was very bright clean and spacious. The en suite looked newly fitted, very clean and with a great power shower and a little bag of toiletries which is a nice touch. We would definitely book here again.

This property is situated in the heart of Oxford which was great. The negative would be too many stairs to walk up with no elevator.

A jewel right in the middle of Oxford City, accessible to all tourists sights and resturants. Only downfall was the stairs not suitable if you have mobility problems

Incredibly central and adequately comfortable. Lots of stairs so not great if you have heavy luggage. Lovely view out over Broad Street.

I really liked this place. The location was AMAZING! Easy to find. The staff was extremely friendly. The room we had was very clean and spacious. The shower had great water pressure and got hot. Only complaint was the bed (didn’t have much support).
