Wonderful location and classic bach

The bach is a perfect spot for exploring Te Tauihu (the top of the South Island). Positioned on the beach at Pākawau, there is always a beach walk or birds to watch. The bach is a classic kiwi bach with sparkling new bathrooms and a small but perfectly functional kitchen. We loved opening the door to the lawn and beach and relaxing. It is a short drive up to Pūponga, the access point for Wharariki Beach and Cape Farewell. The Farewell Spit tour will pick you up from the road outside the bach too! The local campground has a little shop and there is a bigger shop, as well as the lovely Courthouse cafe in Collingwood.

Paradise!!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Being right on the beach was amazing. The house is really comfortable with everything you need for cooking etc. loved how big the bedroom is and ensuite was a real bonus. So great to have had a house where our dogs can be with us too! Just perfect!

Awesome place for a getaway!

Perfect location and setting for a great time to unwind. Loved being able to have our dog there and also the easy access to the beach direct from the front yard. Lovely place, thank you so much 😊🙏

Simply gorgeous!

The Bach has a great location with beach access and lots of space indoors and out. We had a fantastic time spending hours on the beach and barbecuing at the bach - we definitely are planning to return.
