The Perfect Little Place!

So happy I found this place! Such a great vibe! Rooms are lovely, well kept and spacious. Plenty of hot water and a mini fridge in room as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant and bar on site and their food, drinks and service are excellent. Pool and hot tub, mellow lighting and calm at night. Felt very comfortable here. Conveniently located as I was going back and forth to the Convention Center. Parking is easy and convenient and the rate is affordable. I can't wait to stay here again!

The property is in major need of renovations. The furniture and beds are old and outdated and not comfortable. The bathtub would not drain and we had four people in the room. We called maintenance numerous times to come fix the bathtub drain or move us to a different room. The manager was unresponsive.

Its been a long time since i stayed at a motel in such poor condition. Yes, a motel, NOT A RESORT. This place would need a lot of work to rise to the level of a Motel 6 or Days Inn. TV and phone didnt work,nothing was done about it, carpets filthy and stained, wall sockets open/broken and unsafe, the whole place generally run down. Plumbing extremely weak. I will say the staff was very nice, but evidently have no power to correct anything. I wasted my money on this place, did NOT get value for what i paid. Please do not give them yours.

Checking in was a horrible. Gal w red glasses was rude, unfriendly, everything you would not want when checking in to a hotel. Felt like turning around and going someplace else. Having been visiting this hotel for 20 years, probably will never return.

The room was not clean. There was a rust stain on the carpet, one of the pillow cases was dirty. The door was drafty and difficult to latch. Staff was unavailable. Three times I tried accessing the office for assistance and each time the door was locked and a sign was up. The third time a staff member was inside the office and ignored my knocking. Really un-kept-up-with, aggravating place to stay. Avoid it.

Love the place because of the reef restaurant, staff was ok asked for extra towels for pool and never received. There was no shampoo and conditioner, or body soap in the shower containers

Good for a short stay

We had a two night stay from Friday-Sunday. Customer service was very good. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were very firm. I like when hotels offer two different types of pillows. The rooms need a bit of updating, especially the carpeting. We had a problem the first night with not having hot water. My husband went to the front office and maintenance came to our room immediately which we really appreciated. The biggest problem for us was the noise from the pool. All the rooms surround the pool so you can’t get away from the noise. We had to be up at 5am every morning and the yelling and screaming from the pool until almost midnight kept us up. It seems there is no one to enforce rules for use of the pool.

Motel, Not Hotel

The hotel was a great example of "you get what you pay for..." While I loved the authenticity of the hotel and its Tiki theme, this place is in need of some major upgrades to keep it going. The heated pool and powerful spa were great, and the highlight of the hotel. However, the rooms felt drab and dirty, and we arrived to no hot water and a leaking toilet. The walls had visible dirt and the carpet was torn in places. The front desk staff were really polite and nice, but the bartender in the poolside bar was quite nonchalant about service and seemed more interested in feeding himself since it took nearly 45 minutes to get our fried food as he clearly forgot we ordered it. Nonetheless, parking was easy, had a couple ok restaurants to eat at, but like everywhere else, all overpriced.
