This condo was as described. Great oceanview, condo staff was very friendly, and getting ahold of owners was very easy and response was wonderful. I would stay here again
The Worst Place We've Ever StayedWe have been staying in the area every summer for over 20 years, and this was, without a doubt, the worst place we've ever rented. The condo was in dire need of a deep clean and some serious updates. The floors were dirty, the sheets were sandy, and the kitchen was a mess. We found dishes in the dishwasher that still had food on them, and the supposedly clean dishes in the cabinets were also dirty. We messaged Book That Condo about the issues and received an unhelpful "sorry to hear that," with no offer to remedy the situation. To top it off, the toilets barely flushed toilet paper and almost always needed a second flush. This is the second time we've had a bad experience with Book That Condo, and it seems the old saying is trueâyou get what you pay for.
We have stayed at The Commodore for years. Itâs a smaller, family friendly condominium that is not in the middle of all the action and we love that about it. This unit specifically was not the most âupdatedâ, but overall the space was satisfactory and clean. Communication with the rental company and the check-in process were seamless and they even had it ready a little early. The space had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay.
We booked the Commodore room 704 using VRBO. There was a lot of communication with the rental agency, making the entire process very easy. The check in and out were seamless. We were far enough awy from the more party type atmosphere of Spring Break but still close to plenty of things to do. Would definitely come back
Water damage present with mold on ceilings, bathroom door swollen and split from water.cabinets smelled like mildew from water damage which made everything smell.I have a mold allergy so I coughed and had a runny nose all week when in the room. Killed a large cockroach in the kitchen and they were present outside unit as well. Elevators took turns being out of service which was aggravating. Beach was nice and we had great weather though.
When I walked in, I was SHOCKED!
The only thing this unit had in relation to what was advertised was the floor plan and amenities. It was a wreck! The decor was nothing as advertised, but that was the least of the issues. The sliding glass door in the living room wouldn't close all the way, leaving about a 2-3 inch gap, because the track was broken. The handle to the sliding glass door in the master bedroom was hanging out, only being kept in by a screw thread. Due to these door issues, hot humid air was blasting into the unit, making it very damp. The vents had mold growing out of them. The shower curtains in both bathrooms also had mold growing on them. The bathroom doors would barely close because they had expanded so much and the bottoms were decomposing from all the moisture. The pull out sofa was so broken and busted up that my son had to sleep at the foot of the bed so that the blood didn't rush to his head. The bedding for the pull out smelled in such a way that I had to launder it before we could use it. Needless to say I was very disappointed with this unit. I do not typically do reviews, much less negative ones, but the only nice thing I can say for this unit, is that the maintenance man who came to "band aid" the issues was very polite and understanding of our concerns.
We will not be staying in this unit or recommending it ever again.
My family and I just returned from a week of staying here and have to say it was just okay. The unit looks much better in pictures than it does in person. Itâs a very aged room. Most of the blinds are missing so people walking by can see in the kitchen as well as the 2nd bedroom (our 4yo was staying in). We ended up having to put a towel up over the window for privacy. The sliding door is very aged and hard to open/close. The couch is shot, not comfortable at all and worn out in the middle so very uncomfortable to sit on. The master bathtub took forever to drain. Positive- The fridge was new and worked great, a/c worked great.
Although we have stayed at the Commodore multiple times, this was by far the worse room. The tub did not drain, the kitchen light did not work, the ice maker did not work. The paint was peeling. For the price I expected much better quality.
good thing we didn't spend alot of time in the condo and were outdoors Most of our trip .
condo wasn't bad but could definitely use some updates .
dishes were dirty, water and ice wouldn't work on refrigerator, sliding glass doors wouldn't shut all the way , light bulbs out in many fixtures , and showers were very small as was both bathrooms .
ârain came inside in living room and master
âtoilets do not flush
âbathtub in master does not drain
âair would not cool, dripped water from vents
âair filter was nasty
âvery dated, the pictures are VERY misleading.
We received the added welcome of coming down at the beginning of Thunder Beach which explained why there were motorcycles everywhere. Our condo is closer to St Andrew park which is generally quieter and less traveled than the main drag in PCB. Our unit was perfect with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom for our party of 4. Balcony with lots of chairs to sit and watch the beach/gulf and whatever type of watercraft that came out of the jetty area.
