Dated room, gorgeous beach

We spent 2 nights on a longer trip and we did not have a good first impression. The exterior hallway needs to be cleaned and painted. The room is dated and the bathtub is old. We confirmed there were no bedbugs and the mattress was comfortable. There is a bar that serves good drinks and decent burgers and has live music. The beach is gorgeous and clean and you can walk for miles. The pool was heated and had good seating and loungers.

This is our new favorite. We’ve been out of town hotel hopping in different cities and this is our favorite place, more desirable than even the $200 hotel in New Orleans we stayed at. I’m so glad we were able to find this gem. We stayed on the seventh floor. The elevator is a bit scary LOL but that was it. Everything including the staff and people that stay there are truly wonderful.

Our stay was very nice and relaxing. The property is clearly older, but it was clean and well maintained for its age. The elevators were a little sketchy but thankfully worked! The full size refrigerator was nice to have. Beach access was easy to get to. It was cold while we were there, so we just walked out for a bit. My only complaint is that the pillows were not great at all. Bring your own if you plan to stay here!

Lacking normal amenities

The view from our room was the only saving grace. They advertised a bar and grill on site but it was closed. We had to buy ice for $7 a bag. No vending machines. Non smoking room smelled of lots of OLD smoke. Would not stay there again

Great view to have my morning coffee. They first gave us a room that had not been cleaned and quickly put us into a clean room. Building needs a little updating but otherwise peaceful.

Not what we expected.

First off, when we arrived on Friday mid day, they proceeded to tell us the pool heater was broken, so the water was to cold to use. Then we got into room and it was clean, but then no internet until the next day. The outside and some parts of inside were pretty outdated, but the beds were good in comfort. We probably won't stay again!!

Minor flaws but major fun

We came for a long weekend with our young granddaughter and were disappointed in the room conditions. The furniture was very old and worn. The kitchen and bathroom lights were very dim. The heat in the pool was not working. Some inconveniences, but the manager offered a discount or a refund for the remainder of the stay. The pool heater was fixed the next day so we’re glad that we stayed. Our granddaughter had a wonderful time as did we. The friendly and helpful staff made up for the minor inconveniences. and this made our stay worthwhile. Also the location is perfect for us as we like a low key and quiet area.

Older hotel with very outdated furniture and decor. Very clean, beautiful location. Right on the beach with a bar on site that had very nice staff. Bed was comfortable. Good value for waterfront property.
