Nice breakfast and the rooftop bar had a gorgeous view of Morea. Our plane arrived at 5:45 in the morning, the hotel allowed us to go an open area and crash.

Great location and amazing value

Great location for the ferry or the cruise pier. Close to the main market and most stores. Modern hotel, clean and very spacious room, great wifi. Only downside was the elevator that was very busy especially in the evening because of the restaurant and bar at the top floors.

A fantastic option for a couple of days in Papeete. Don't be misled by the google street view.. it is over 6 yrs old and thr property has been fully refurbished under new ownership. If you are heading out by ferry to Moorea, there is no place better. Self catering options exist with a stocked kitchen for 2. Fully recommend and will return on my next trip to this wonderful island.

Great stay! Clean, hotel rooms! Centrally located!

Centrally located right across the street from the ferry about 2000 Polynesian francs for a taxi from the airport. From the outside, it doesn’t look like much but the inside is incredible. Clean comfortable and great views. You’re able to walk to shops and restaurants. If you have a rental car parking could be a challenge. They do have a parking area specifically for Kontiki boutique, but it’s an added of daily cost. Their concierge is very knowledgeable of the area and things to do. Rental scooters are available nearby. I highly recommend this place!!

We stayed on a Friday night and the hotel has a disco on the roof. The music (noise) started around 10-11pm and lasted until 4am. We were on the 2nd floor and the music was so loud we couldn’t sleep all night. If you run a hotel your priority should be guest sleep not running a disco on the roof top until 4am. Don’t stay here if you want to sleep at night.

Great Downtown Hotel

The Hotel was a very pleasant surprise. Everything was great - easy check-in and check-out. Coffee shop next door has breakfast and lunch. We did not go to the rooftop bar. Would highly recommend it for a stay in Tahiti without breaking the bank!

We arrived at 8:30 having reserved a premium room with an ocean view. We were told the room would not be ready until after 3pm. Unfortunately, we were in Tahiti on a Sunday and the whole Island is closed. We saw many people getting their rooms as early as 1:30. We were the last to get our room at 3:30. They kept promising us a room shortly but really did not deliver giving lower quality room away before us. There were man problems with that room. The bed was as hard as a board. There was no shower but a free standing bathtub that rocked when you stepped in it. The tub was slippery and dangerous. It was not secured to the floor. The blow dryer did not work. We were missing many towels requesting more and they were never delivered. There was noise from the rooftop bar above. We wrote a complaint to the general manager and requested money back for our troubles. We never heard from him. They don’t care about your issues. Don’t stay here.

Affordable luxury

Comfortable stay after 45 days in French Polynesia. We appreciated the modern, spacious, bug free, air conditioned room. Special bonus was the restaurant on floor 7 was an unexpected gem! The food was incredible and it had great ambience. Only minor annoyance was one elevator which took a while at peak times. Wish we stayed more than one night.
