The location is great, just across the street from Gare du Nord. There are many eateries and shops nearby. As with many hotels in the Paris center, it's smaller and older. Nonetheless, it's quite nicely maintained and clean, especially the bathroom, which is very important to me. Also, the reception was friendly and helpful.

Great location for restaurants and bars! Also opposite Gare De Nore; very convenient for travellers from the eurostar. Lovely staff but average rooms as expected by the price. Will be staying again for short visits.

The Hotel is right opposite gare Du Nord Station, Just a hop-in-hop-out from the trains. Many places to eat and too lively of an environment. You would never feel lonely. Hotel Staff of very pleasant and nice.

We were a bit taken aback on arrival to see that the entry was a bit grim, and the hotel had only 2 stars. A bit quirky -- we went in one door to check in, then had to leave and go around the corner to get to our room However, it all worked. Entering the hotel, it was very old fashioned -- ancient staircase, etc. However, somewhat to our surprise, the room was really nicely modernised and larger than others we have used in the neighborhood (i.e. maybe 2 or 3 hotels near Gare du Nord.) There is no breakfast room, but there is a cafe downstairs, which was very satisfactory. We might use it again.

The actual corridors were dated and creepy looking, but the actual room was really modern, clean and absolutely fine for the price :-) we were comfortable. Room was cleaned everyday and towels replaced. We were happy

I had the worst check-in experience of my life. I arrived at 10:30 pm as a single female traveller and the rude woman at the front desk refused to let me in the room because the reservation was made by my manager. She demanded I showed her the ID of the person who booked the reservation. My manager tried speaking to her on the phone to confirm the reservation, she refused to take the call. Having the actual reservation number wasn’t good enough for her. In the end has the audacity to threaten me with the police. Extremely unprofessional with an unacceptable attitude, please train your staff better!

Booked for 4 nights but left after two nights. Returning to my room on the second day the door to my room was a jar, so thought someone had been in my room as they ask you to leave the key at the front desk when you go out Asked at front desk and the response was oh that can happen sometimes the door doesn’t shut properly. Returned the hotel after a day out and the front doors had been smashed, finally straw booked another hotel and checked out early

Good location, great view, could use a renovation
The hotel could use a renovation. It's not falling a part, but there is definitely room for improvement. For instance there was a hole in the ceiling in our room, about 20 x 5 cm that had been fixed with see through tape. The bathroom was missing a curtain. Otherwise the room was nice for a family. Two queen size beds next to each other took up the whole room. Not a bad solution, but didn't leave much space for open suitcases. The view from our room was amazing. The elevator was very small but worked fine.

This is a budget hotel but its location is very good just opposite the main train station. Lots of restaurants around here. This hotel does not provide any kettle or amenities like toothbrush or shower cap.
