Really nice hostel! Super clean and very comfy beds! The curtains in the bunks paired with your own personal light and plug ins for charging were great! That and you got your own little cupboard area in the bunk! The best hostel I’ve stayed at thus far! Plus the included breakfast buffet (optional) was nice, very limited though. Only croissants, pain au chocolate, baguettes, oatmeal and orange juice/water and quiche. I wish there was some meat element. However not a huge issue. That was my only complaint. But I’m Canadian so I’m used to sausage, bacon, eggs etc.

Very rude and unfriendly staff. They were very rude every time I asked for help. Even when I checked in, the receptionist seemed very unhappy and unsatisfied for being at work. Breakfast was included and I told the staff that I’m lactose intolerant but I had to pay extra for lactose free milk which it’s for my opinion, ridiculous. There was no lactose free yoghurt or other options. We are in 2024 they should have other options specially when I pay for the service. I hardly could eat breakfast at the hostal because of that. I didn’t get breakfast ticket (to give to the restaurant every day) by the receptionist when I checked in and I had to ask for them. The staff at the restaurant didn’t believed that I had my breakfast included because I didn’t had the “breakfast ticket” and I was not allowed to eat breakfast first day because of that. I informed the receptionist about this but I didn't get a discount. Toilet paper was finished and the cleaner stuff didn’t filled up with toilet paper. I had to go down to the reception by night (couldn’t go to the toilet before I went to bed) to ask for toilet paper.

Solo female stayed for a short one night on a layover but walking distance to common attractions and felt very safe coming home around 1030 at night solo. Metro is super close and was a very direct and easy route from the airport. Will be staying again.

horrible stuff. all of them unhappy and have attitude only one tall black guy he is nice and helpful other’s either don’t like work over there or working for minimum wage 6th floor men’s restroom sink was clogged like 2 days and was so dirty amazing building amazing establishment but big time shame for management !

I will start with what I did enjoy. Location, location, location…right in the heart of Paris. I could take the metro to all of my tours as it was a quick two minute walk. Staff was very friendly, with one staff member even making the effort to get me milk for my coffee at 6:00 a.m. Loved the fact that before the restaurant opened, there was a coffee bar with croissants for purchase. That was super helpful for my early morning tours. The disappointments…I was clear that you had to push a button for the water to flow from the shower. What I wasn’t clear on and it took me two days to figure out how to get the hot water going in the shower. The first day I check in, after me comes a woman and a man to check in. Now I was in a room with for four women. Three of the beds were occupied, including me so I’m like say what. They sorted it out but what a huge error. Then let’s talk about the staff member that gave wrong information. Wrong directions to the Bastille, I ended up at the River Seine. Wrong information about storing my luggage when I check out. We will gladly hold your bags while you go on your last tour. What he didn’t tell me it’s a fee to store your baggage in lockers that only takes coins that they will only give you if you have cash. I ended up taking my luggage on my tour. If I had been properly informed I could’ve made other arrangements. Then the guy at the front desk was like the guy who gave me the wrong directions to the Bastille and the wrong info did not work
