I stayed at this hotel for 20 nights. Even though the hotel is old, it is clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate, although there were many restaurants in the area, the noise didn't bother me at least. The hotel was within walking distance of almost everything. The beach is close and there are many restaurants nearby. I can recommend the hotel, especially for solo travelers. I will definitely return to this hotel again. A big thank you to the staff at the reception, you made my holiday unforgettable.

Generally a positive experience here, but a rough start. Staff is positive and very attentive. However, first impressions of the property leave you concerned (explained below). I booked the ocean view room, which was more of a "roof top and some ocean view", but a decent view none the less. The breakfast had alot to offer which was great, they could improve on quality of coffee, maybe include the option of espresso. The main floor pool and general area is quite nice. Ok, so the bad vibe at the beginning explaing: (1) The elevator servicing my tower is not clean and in bad repair. Walking to that box to start things off makes you really concerned about where you are going and what place you have picked. The rug is beaten up, paint and scratches everywhere, dirty and smelly. (2) After getting all unpacked, I lay down in my clean looking bed I quickly discovered a strong foul smell! Pure rot. Made me jump out of bed like the bed was on fire kind of smell! I pulled off the clean sheet to discover a very urine stained mattress cover! Housekeeping responded quickly and replaced everything, but unfortunately the offending liquid had made it's way through the mattress cover into the mattress and it was still too stinky. I am not sure how this could have been missed by housekeeping! Anyhow, as noted earlier, the front desk people are very positive and supportive and gave me three excellent options of alternate rooms to choose from. All was good from that point on. Thanks!

The Sunshine Hotel and Residences is a good clean and affordable hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are plenty of place to get a drink or food. Beach is only a few minutes walk from the hotel and transport is available. Close to markets and a 7/11 across the road. Have stayed several times and will be back.

Gave this property a star because the staff was very helpful and understanding. AVOID this hotel at all costs. Especially if you have children. This is a hub for things you do not want to see. A LOT of prostitution and men in search of them. Your room provides condoms next to the nightstand and there are women waiting for their rooms with their buyers. Orbitz should really not promote this property and the rating is not 3 stars. It’s 1 at best and only because the staff are so nice and understanding when we immediately decided not to stay and booked at The Marriott North in a friendly neighborhood next to Terminal 21 Mall.

After I originally booked the property I was informed extensive renovations were under way but would be finished by 31st August, 2024. I arrived in early October after the cut off date for a cancellation refund. The renovations were still ongoing but I was informed they would finish the next day. They continued throughout my entire stay. They were supposed to start at 10.00 a.m. but started earlier. Hotel staff tried to blame the booking agent.

I ended up at this place because I was staying at “the weekend Pattaya” Down the street and it was horrible. so I left that place and still paid for that night and came over here and it’s been amazing. The staff is friendly. The doors work elevators are fast fast.

It’s my 8 times stay in this hotel , it’s very clean, the staff will for you anything you need, if you call the reception they will answer right away, The location is very good on Soi 8, Good and safe parking lot, the hotel security is 24/7 on the premises…. I always love to stay in this hotel
