Perfect Hideaway for Families visiting Fortuna
*We had our own transportation*This is a phenomenal spot about 10-15 minutes outside of Fortuna. Worth every minute. The owner is responsive, interactive, and wants to make sure everyone has a great time during their stay.If we visit another 10 times we’ll stay here every time.

Fantastic hospitality and in-home dinner experience
We stayed just two short nights at here, but wish we would have had another. The concept of the home was something we were intrigued by. Outdoor living, with the exception of bedrooms. Each bedroom was a cool haven against the warm humid air in Costa Rica. Alanso was very helpful in attending to our needs. When we couldn’t figure out how to get into the bedrooms, he came right over and helped us out. Communication through Whats App is the best way to communicate both before and during your stay. The highlight of his hospitality was coordinating a meal at our home prepared by a local chef. We didn’t know what to expect, but it was wonderful! While we were out and about all day, we came back to the house to a chef and his assistant who had been cooking for 4 hours making a 3-course DELEICIOUS locally sourced dinner. I can’t say enough how easy and satisfying this was. If you want to use this service, it’s preferred to pay the chef in cash (so bring money!). If you don’t have cash, you can pay Alonso through PayPal (with some processing fees attached).

Let me start by saying that it is a beautiful property in a beautiful country. However, description was very misleading. The only indoor part in that whole property was the three bedrooms, bathrooms, living room kitchen everything was out outdoors. It was very disconcerting to go to the bathroom under open air, even though they were a boundary.You constantly bitten by mosquitoes if you go out in the evening, so sitting in the living space which was outdoors is out of the question. If I wanted to stay in a rustic property, I could have done so in amuch much cheaper way.As soon as we got there, I asked them to please give us a reference so we could move to a different property, and we never heard a word from the property manager or owner about it.Getting in touch with the person listed was rather difficult. He would usually take hours to respond. When we got there, and couldn’t find the property, I kept calling and texting him, but he wouldn’t respond, and it took him over 30 minutes just to get back to me, and it is very disconcerting to sit in a remote sort of an area in the dark and in a new country. Please know that the property is beautiful, but it is only for people who like living in a rustic way.I was not pleased at all with the misrepresentation

Being in this beautiful rainforest villa in La Fortuna is like staying in a threshold between the familiar and wondrous, one built for the traveler who desires both immersion and retreat. This villa nestles within its natural frame in almost a sacred manner, only six minutes' drive from the busy heart of La Fortuna-one that instantly can make you feel the world at its most primal and pure. Here, we are embraced by natural beauty, the sounds and vision of Costa Rica, yet given the quiet luxury of privacy. This villa is a true philosophy of openness. Four inviting bedrooms each have their own private bathroom-an indulgence in comfort and solitude felt rarely in such intimate spaces. Perhaps the most evocative offering of the villa, sticking to its 'al fresco' concept, would be an outdoor shower option. Bathing here is the reimagining of a simple, ritualistic part of one's life. Water becomes almost reverent in this sequestered corner of the world, connecting to the surrounding river, the environment folding into our stay. The crystalline pool is ever in flow, adding to the atmosphere of serenity. It feels like a timeless presence, always close. In its silent, crystal-clear water, the sky and greenery meet, grounding and liberating all at once. One can wade and splash without restriction from confined spaces. With each passing day, the rainforest and its music-the burbling, soothing sounds-gently layer onto memory.
