Pleasant weekend getaway

This was a rural property, but still convenient to many of the attractions in this area of the NY Finger Lakes region. Very comfortable for the two couples and dog that were on this stay. Room for at least two more, but third couple would not have not have close access to a bathroom. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Overall Good Stay, But Be Sure To Review The Bill

Overall, I had a terrific 3-night stay in the house. It was super-clean, peaceful, well-maintained, well-located and larger than I expected. Also, the host was quite communicative throughout the trip, in regards to answering any questions that I had. I was, however, disappointed in how the billing process was handled after the stay. Essentially, I was overcharged by $90 (which was the fee for a third adult, who I had already indicated was not coming). In fairness, there was a good deal of back and forth in terms of how many people would be staying at the home with me. However, I did confirm the final number of people a day before arrival with the host. Anyone can make an error, but when I raised this matter to the host’s attention, I felt that she initially tried to avoid considering if it was an error on their end (which in fact it was). After some back and forth, the host did ultimately refund the money. However, I felt that the mistake was addressed in an unapologetic manner with the host writing: "Ok. I see now. There was a mix up in the costs. We will refund you." I normally would assume that this was just a mistake. However, because multiple others have raised concerns related to how this host handles their billing, and because there was no apology for the mistake, it made a poor impression on me. If you are planning to stay at this property, I suggest just ensuring that you closely review the post-stay charges.

Finger Lakes Fun

We enjoyed our stay at Morning Dove very much. Pat and all provided a lot of very helpful information prior to check in and was very responsive to any requests for information. It's cozy, comfortable and convenient to Keuka and Seneca Lake wineries, breweries and Watkins Glen for hiking. A nice, quiet, and peaceful area with the hot tub and private outdoor area as a bonus.

Weekend get away

we had tickets to the 6 hours at the glen. We wanted a place close enough to the track but also close enough to all the other things to do in the area. this property was an excellent choice. very accommodating. we would do it again!!!

Fall Fun!

We are the ‘82 Girls, six high school BFF’s & this was our second stay at Diamond Inn the Bluff, first visit was in 2016. We Love everything about the home & location! Very private but not far from activities. We LOVE the Windmill craft & flea market. The house is cozy & clean & we enjoy the hot tub as an added bonus! Girls Weekend

Extended holiday girls weekend spent exploring the Finger Lakes Region. House was centrally located to all the things we wanted to do. Extremely clean, enjoyed sleeping quarters being on opposite wings with kitchen being central. Hot tub was great addition to end our busy days exploring and hiking. Enjoyed our stay very much and would choose to stay here again.

My siblings and I stayed at this property over Memorial Weekend. It was lovely, larger than expected from the photos and the perfect location between the 2 lakes. Relaxing stay

My husband and I stayed for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The property was as described, and the highlights were the fire pit and the hot tub. There was plenty of space for the two of us, and we enjoyed sitting on the back deck enjoying our morning coffee. Communication with the owners at arrival and check-out was efficient and very easy.

Very Accomodating

There was a hot water issue during our stay last weekend (which does not seem to be a common occurrence looking at previous reviews). When we brought up the problem, we were quickly offered to stay at another one of the owner's properties without question or any hassle. The owner was very quick to answer any and all texts we had which made the hot water issue have minimal impact on our honeymoon weekend. Both places we stayed at were very clean and well kept. Only recommendation I would have is to add more curtains to the windows. There were curtains in areas that were necessary (ie bedroom, bathroom) but I feel more comfortable at night when curtains are drawn even in the living room, etc.

Thanksgiving relaxation

Loved the hottub

The cottage was spacious and private. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was comfy. The hottub was a real treat. Discovering the Windmill Market nearby and our Amish neighbours was a nice surprise. Our only setback was the musty smell in the mudroom.

from the moment you walk in you can tell the host cares about the renters. Very inviting and though of. Everything is cleaned and staged to welcome you in. I would definitely stay here again. Not the best experience

My friend and I stayed here for two nights at the end of August. The good is that it is very clean and all the furniture was comfy. We didn’t use the hot tub or fire pit, but they seemed nice. There were only two of us, but it would be big enough for a larger party. The bad, the cottage is a trailer with an addition on it. I thought we were getting a house, also note the balcony is a back deck. The big issue is how musty it smelled. There has to be mold and I do not say that lightly. My friend and I were going to get a hotel on the first night, but found ourselves stuck in the trailer due to a flat tire. Opening the windows made the smell tolerable, but we spent time on the decks for fresh air. Communication was lacking as well. I messaged them upon booking looking for advice on how to book a wine tour. No answer, which is fine, but their description says they will help with these things. And lastly I am still waiting on the return of my deposit, I was charged 250 on booking with the notation saying it would be returned on property. At the end of our stay I texted Pat to ask for how it would be returned, he said it was only a hold and it will clear. That is not true as it was put on my card as part of the charge at booking, VRBO has helped resolve the issue for me as there were only two of us, we left the property on time and in pristine condition. However, the refund will not show for another five days, so about 20 days after leaving the rental. I have never waited so long for a deposit return. Pat also texted threatening to hold our deposit because we didn’t leave on time. He then apologized saying he had the wrong person, but he didn’t ask a question, he jumped right to I lied (I texted when we left at 9:30am). I know mistakes happen, but a professional would have started with a question vs accusing people of lying and threatening their deposit. There are also cameras on the driveway, so it would be easy for him to verify if we’re still present. Things that didn’t effect my ratings, but would be nice is control the landscaping on the path to the back yard, written directions on how to use the hot tub controls, how to use the one TV (outdated with only Direct TV), some information about the area, and possibly some board games. The place just felt very sterile.
