Has a very homely feel. I am biased though as we were upgraded to a suite which was fabulous. Breakfast was included which was also excellent and to top it off there was tomato juice!!! This is a rarity in most hotels but much appreciated by us. All in all, a lovely stay and hopefully next time it will be warm enough to use the pool.

Front desk staff were good. Concierge staff not there the majority of time and not very helpful when they finally were there. Bar very understaffed and therefore service very slow. I’ve stayed all over the world and I was underwhelmed.

very disappointing
This hotel does not live up to a 5* status. The staff are very helpful and nice, but everything else is not. Instead of putting a hold on my credit card for deposit I was actually charged for the amount upfront and then refunded - not great when you have an overseas card, and not something I have previously encountered. The explanation was poor. The bar wasn't open during the day, and the restaurant only offers a buffet - there is nowhere for casual snacks or light meals.

Lovely stay. Smooth check in. Room was ready a bit earlier. Good service. Nice rooms with all the basic esssntials. Bar down stairs nice and breakfast was lovely with a good range/lots of options. Easy checkout. Wpuld be great if they had a warmer pool or spa but otherwise perfect t.

The room was spacious and well appointed. We did not like the $500 hold on the credit card for a five-night stay. The wifi was fairly basic and slow to download and then only partial.

A Night at the Duxton
A very pleasant experience staying at the Dutton and walking to the Concert Hall. Staff treated us with respect and were helpful. We have an enjoyable evening meal in the bar where staff were really helpful.
