This is on the whole a really need be property, spoiled by faulty heating in our room which we could not switch off. We were moved for the second night however having reported that my wife was actually sick with a headache she suffered waking up at 5 in the morning (we arrived late and switched the heating down not knowing that we hadn't switched it off) they could have refunded the night which was simply awful rather than simply a sorry and a move

Location: Central...free parking, I understand and very easy access to train station, cathedal and retail amenities.

When situating guests right next to a main fire door one wouldn't expect to be awoken EVERYTIME the fire door closed. Alongside that, the lovely old hotel, which is clearly the part which faces the street, has a newer rear part, the part I stayed in. This afforded me the luxury of hearing next door guests inserting plugs in walls, switching lights on and off...never normally a concern, but with fire doors awakening me at frequent intervals I was painfully aware of the effects of the paper thin walls, certainly in rooms at the rear. I did call reception to this end but only single rooms were available which didn't suit me and me guest clearly. And yes the room I stayed in WAS indeed the same room rate as all others. In short, I expected a city centre hotel to be noisy from external not INTERNAL noise. To their credit, the hotel does look pleasant though the bathrooms need updating. ALWAYS ask for a quietly located room in my opinion. I rarely rant by the way...but then I've never been awoken countless times by horrible acoustics.

Comfortable Hotel close to the centre of town

Pros: Very handy for what I needed on my trip. Close at all amenities.

Location: The location is very central. Great if you're going shopping or socialising

I was in Peterborough on business. The hotel was very central, comfortable and reasonably close to the railway station. Rooms are of a good size and the food and drink in the bar is good. I didn't have breakfast. Critically for me the WiFi was good and easily accessible unlike some hotels where you have to jump through hoops to access a limited service. There were quite a lot of Christmas parties in the hotel when I was there but none of the noise filtered up to my room!

Tolles zentral gelegenes Stadthotel

Besuchten Konzert in der Kathedrale. Lebendiges Stadtzentrum mit wenig Autos. Viele kleine Lokale und einladende Pubs.
