When booking a room for the night while traveling, no mention of construction of hotel. There was no pool,gym and breakfast in a bag. No discounted price for this renovation inconvenience. Very disappointed.

I left and did not check in. The hotel was under renovation which I was not told by Expedia. It looked as if it were closed, very dark. The entrance looked as if it was a dark alley and was dirty. The space where guests were being checked in was hidden. When I asked if I could use a restroom and was directed to the restroom they had all of the breakfast supplies in the bathroom including the food. At that point I knew it was time for me to leave. I was also very disappointed when I tried to cancel my reservation and Expedia would not because the time to cancel had passed that morning even though I had been offered and paid for insurance that afternoon. This hotel should be closed during renovation. Overall extemely disappointed.

Decent place and excellent service once you’re inside. The street outside is under construction so parking is very limited, but I got lucky and all was well. Brand new room. Breakfast was grab and go during construction.

First off, the room was what you expect from Hampton Inn... clean, roomy, updated, etc. Second, during this renovation period, the hotel should be CLOSED!!! There is hardly any parking available and if you are disabled, forget it! Go to the next Hampton Inn in the next town! During the reservation stage, it should be made VERY clear that the hotel is in upheaval which it was not! Breakfast was very disgusting as they hand you FROZEN breakfast sandwiches. If you are lucky enough to find reasonable parking and you are young or fit and don't mind humping your baggage around their maze of fences to get in the front door, just bypass this one and go to the next town!! To add insult to injury, the city was paving the road in front and had all access to the hotel blocked and I finally had to drive through the barricades that were set up across the hotel entrance (which was suggested by the road flagger down the street)! What a horrible experience that, had I know about when booking the room, I would have avoided like the plague!

The whole hotel was under construction. Areas were blocked off like the stairs. Elevators were very bouncy and did not feel safe. If fire areas were blocked off so no access to stairways.

Called ahead of time to let the hotel know we would be getting in after midnight- they said that was fine they had 24 hour desk service and would write our name down. When we got there NO ONE was there. We waited around and called the front desk for awhile walked around the hotel- no one was there.

Buyer beware
What bothers me the most is that nowhere, neither hotels.com nor on the Hilton site, was it mentioned or advertised that this hotel is under construction. Had I known, I would’ve chosen another. Instead, I paid full-price for a very disappointing experience. I feel bad for the (very friendly) staff, who have to work in a dusty construction zone and constantly face surprised guests, few of whom were aware of what they were walking into. In several spots throughout the hotel, there are gentle signs like, “please pardon our dust!” Or “bear with us while we make this hotel beautiful for you!” The signs felt insulting…this is a major construction zone that I never would’ve chosen had I been informed up front. My family and I woke up with red, itchy eyes and coughing. There was no hot breakfast, no lobby, no business center. Yes the rooms are renovated, but unfortunately ours was dirty. Just an overall really disappointing experience that could’ve been avoided altogether. To Hilton: advertise that this is under construction and offer a discount to guests to stay. You’ll avoid all these justified 1-star reviews.

The hotel is under renovation which was not updated on the hotel.com. Therefore, amenities such as pool and gym were not available. The shower glass was stained and appeared to be unclean. Food choice was not as advertised. The staff was extremely helpful and responsive including Johnathan, Tonya and Kimora. Once the hotel renovations are complete, I would revisit.

Hotel under construction!
no notification that hotel was under reconstruction. Complete surprise to have to walk through debris to get to entrance and then follow signs to temp. Front desk through stripped down halls and plastic bubble wrap floors, breakfast was a joke. No place to sit. Did I stay? Yes. Why? My room was non refundable! I feel conned.

The property was under major renovation is why I gave low marks. The staff was pleasant and helpful considering the hotels conditions. Our room was renovated and up to Hamptons standards but, I expected less mess everywhere.

Would have been nice to know that the hotel was under construction during our stay. A discount would have been nice. The breakfast was very limited because of the renovations going on. And getting in and out of the building was more difficult than necessary due to the fences around the parts still under construction. Staff was very friendly though.

Undergoing Renovations, but still a nice stay
The hotel was currently under renovation so there was a lot of construction to get around. The parking wasn't near a door so we had to get the cart and unload then push it down the sidewalk to get in the door by the pool which was closed as well. They had a gentleman walking around and cleaning hand rails, doors and the elevator after folks came in so that was nice to see. The check-in was in a first floor room and the gentlemen at the desk were great! The breakfast area was across the hall from check-in. Food options were grab and go; there was a microwave to heat up the sandwiches and a toaster for the bagels. We didn't have any issues with our stay, the beds were comfy and the shower hot. Would stay again after they are done with construction if in the area again.

I should have been told the hotel is being renovated. Terrible condition. No amenities. Grab and go breakfast. Not as advertised. Disappointed with Hotels.com and the Hilton brand. You lost a loyal customer as did the Hilton brand.
