My fiancé and I stayed at the Warwick Rittenhouse in Philly for our anniversary weekend. First inconvenience: Check-in was delayed, so instead of us checking in at 4pm, we had to wait to be checked in by 4:30. We then had to quickly change for dinner reservation at 5pm. Our second inconvenience was the room itself, for which I spend over $200/night: Not enough towels and no bathroom mat for us. The complimentary shampoo/conditioner bottles had nothing in them -either they were empty or the contents were in solid form and could not be forced out with any amount of pressure. Only one bar of soap, not a separate one for the shower. The shower drain was clogged, so while taking a shower, we were simultaneously running a bath, since the water could not easily drain out. The sofa in our room was old and worn, and we could feel the spring when sitting on it. Very uncomfortable and difficult to lift yourself out. The third inconvenience was the elevators not running on checkout day. When we left the room to check out with our luggage, we had to wait about 10 minutes for an elevator (there are FOUR elevators, out of which ONLY ONE was operating at 11am). When the one operating elevator finally arrived, it was too crowded for us to board. We were on the 9th floor, and rather than wait for that one elevator to come back to us, we decided to drag our luggage down NINE FLIGHTS of stairs to the lobby. We arrived early & although room wasn't ready yet we were able to check our bags & were told we would be called whenever the room was available. We never received a call & when we went back around 4pm, they had trouble locating our reservation, even though it was there a couple of hours earlier. Elevators are a bit older & the hallway (on the 5th floor) was like the Arctic!! It was so cold. Room thankfully was fine. Carpets could use a good steam cleaning or replacement. Walls are paper thin though- we could hear our neighbors "afternoon delight" and street noise. Overall, the hotel has a beautiful design, some nicer on-site restaurants, friendly staff & in a great area. Parking was an additional $49 per night but attached to the hotel which was convenient.

I was extremely disappointed by the condition of the hotel. It’s run down and clearly needs a facelift. It felt dirty and we got a dark room with the AC condenser unit making noise all night outside our windows. Asked staff 3 times for a rollaway bed before we finally got one at 11 pm!

It's a great area, a block away from Rittenhouse Square. The Hotel is clean and modern in the lobby. The rooms are fine but a bit dated and worn in areas I would suggest new curtains and shades, replacing worn chairs, and cleaning or replacing the carpet.

Great location. The hotel rooms however need upgrading. Very dated. The housekeeping and doormen were lovely but the front desk wasn’t very helpful. We booked a room to fit 3 people, but when we arrived late at night, our sofa bed wasn’t prepared. We needed to wait for sheets and had to make it up ourselves.

The worst hotel experience I have had. We waited in line for one hour to check-in. Rooms were not ready and it was chaos. No apologies no communication. Turns out computer issues - management needs training. Everyone there should have been refunded. Horrible.

The hotel staff was terrible. We checked in in the room smells like cigarettes smoke. My husband went down to ask them to move us and she said she would call us in 15 minutes. After 30 minutes, my husband went down and she said she had gotten him another room and gave him the key. He went to the room, but the key didn’t work. After getting into the room, the furniture was broken, there were no towels, toiletries or any amenities. Would call housekeeping to bring them and they wouldn’t come. Went downstairs and both bars was closed. We asked what the options were and she shrugged her shoulders. Great could be a nice hotel , except the supervisor at the front desk was terrible.
