A little disappointed

The place is pretty run down. They did have new floors but the wall were in bad shape and the whole place needs painting and fixing. It was a no smoking room but it wasn’t always and still smelled of smoke.

Good Central Phoenix Hotel Stay

Good basic hotel stay for two nights with comfortable bed, clean sheets and bedding, clean bathroom with tub and shower. The TV had no reception but it was OK because I needed the rest with no distractions. Some of the neighbors both above the room and adjacent to the room were a little loud, but I managed to get good night's sleep on both nights.

Its right across a fire station so it was very noisy suddenly booked this last Minute because we had a super early flight also tried to shower at night and there was no running water in the shower it was late and i didn’t have time to say something but i simply would not recommend anyone stay there it doesn’t feel like a very safe area either

Bad neigh orgood

The property is in a terrible neighborhood. When arrived there were homeless in the parking lot. I rode through the parking lot and kept going. Got another hotel room.

It’s just wasn’t clean enough. I just saw long hairs all around the room, even in the bed. There is mini hair conditioner was used.It was disappointed.

There is a fire station right here and you get to hear the sirens every time they respond to a homeless prostitute OD that happens near by, which seems to be very previlant in the area. Ziggys across the street is a fun place and the brewery a couple doors down wasn't bad. Guess I should have guessed by the price but in case you didn't know already you get what you pay for, and this may have been one of the cheapest "hotels" in Phoenix

Property is older for sure, and the area isn’t necessarily the “best”, but to be across the street from the Van Buren and walkable distance to most things in the downtown area, despite dirty walls and carpet, little to no complaints.

My reviews are based not in comparison to the best hotels I’ve stayed at but what I expected to come into. All travel sites put it as a 2-3 star hotel so thats what I expected. Some pictures put it as a previous Rodeway Inn so there’s also that. I’ve stayed at other Roadway Inn’s before so and they have served it’s purpose. Yes there are upgrades that could be made but you could see they were trying since there was new flooring. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were good, and the room got cold….all I could ask for. Location was great…walking distance to the downtown area for a lot of restaurants/bars and Starbucks. Best surprise was it was across the street from Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken. I happened to see the door and neon sign walking back from Starbucks…IYKYK. Only let down but not a deal breaker, was there was an ice machine but it didn’t work. The room had a small fridge and microwave so all my needs were met. The neighboring hotel looks like it’s been remodeled from a cheaper chain (picture might have shown Sure Stay), but my room was actually bigger than my friend’s room who stayed at that one. Overall it was a last minute trip to catch a Dodgers/Cubs game during Spring Training, visit Sedona and get some DTPHX action, so the price was right and I had a great trip. Would I stay there again…hell yes!
