Such a nice boutique resort. The pool, bar, staff and morning coffee is great. Not your typical Pigeon Forge resort. Wayback offers convenient location to walk to dining, across street from the Margaritaville Island entertainment complex. We enjoyed adult time by the pool in the evening. The resort is compact and easy to get around. We did not dine at resort. However, heard others say it offered good food as well.

Good one time experience.
Nice place and glad I went for the experience, but wouldn’t go back. No microwaves in the room and the retro fridge was too small to put a water bottle upright. Loved the bathroom shower area and the beds were very comfortable, so this was a plus. Had a meal at the pool and the food was top notch and it was a relaxing atmosphere. I wouldn’t say this hotel was super kid friendly, they close the pool early in the evening to all kids and make it an adult only area. Our rooms were not clean by early evening and we had to request towels for our room, so that was a little disappointing.

Have stayed at plenty of hotels in pigeon forge and the vibe here was different. It was very laid back and much cheaper than margaritaville. The pool area was nice, the hot tub was great and the room was nice and clean. My only complaint would be that the bar by the pool. It was $26 before tip and one drink being a yuengling in a can. Loved this place and will stay again.

We loved the Wayback. The service was great! The room was comfortable and beautiful. The pool area was relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and our server, Javier, was attentive and remembered our order from the previous day. They had vegan options that were delicious! The only drawback was that there was no apparent recycling.

Good location. The bedrooms were nice enough. Bed was 7/10 comfort level, would bring my own pillow. Bathrooms were updated and one of nicer quality in area. Photos make room a little more nice than actuality. Worst part of booking is parking. It’s limited and several vehicles were parked in spots not intended for parking. Would stay again.

Tge Wayback is one of the nicer places to stay on the strip in Pigeon Forge. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The pool area was well maintained. The office staff was very friendly. We will be back.

I really wanted to love this property. The guy that checked my husband in was friendly and showed him where he should park. We got to our room and had trouble with the door shutting behind us. It wouldn’t latch because the deadbolts were malfunctioning and we had to press the handle down from the inside if we wanted to close the door behind us. ( we asked later in our visit to have it checked out and maintenance just couldn’t get it figured out- not really a big deal, just more of an annoyance) The room appeared to be clean- normal wear and tear that is expected in a motel room, but there was definitely a damp odor in the bathroom. Totally understandable in this region of the country, yet slightly off-putting. The weatherstripping did not cover the whole door width, leaving gaps on each side of the door- my husband stuffed them with socks- just to help deter any critters from joining us in our room at bedtime. Children are not allowed in the pool area after 6:00 pm.If we had known this, we probably wouldn’t have booked 3 days at this property with our 15year old. Major disappointment, especially since there really isn’t any other place to sit out at the property. I don’t like giving reviews with such negativity, so I’ll say what I did like about the stay….The decor is cool. The pool is spacious. The free Paloma at 6:00 was thoroughly enjoyed. Most workers were kind ( exception of one woman behind the desk when we had a couple questions about the free drink voucher.)

Beds are super comfortable. Location is great, especially if you are going to Dollywood. Decor is great but you can tell they have done a quick, bandage job of fixing up the rooms. Paint job was meh, the rugs were quite dirty and there was no backing and we kept slipping on them. I had veggie tacos and they were very tasty, expensive but tasty. The pool area is great but the pool bar was closed the whole time we were there which was a bummer. It's pigeon forge. I wasn't expecting perfection and I would definitely stay there again.
