Love this hotel
This was our second time at way back. Each time has been great. They had a fire lit that provided warmth on such a cold day. This is a great hotel on the strip. The heat unit made some weird noise that woke us up but other than that. We will be back.

Lots of room for improvement with this hotel. The staff were very friendly so no issues there. No soundproofing in rooms. You can hear everything. It says coffee in lobby but it comes at a charge. Unless you are leaving very early, then the staff member said she had no access to the coffee maker, nor the microwave. For that cost it was ridiculous that we couldn't get at least a coffee. I heard a lot of unhappy guests making their complaints known. Sad that it wasn't a great experience

Would of been ok without construction noise!
Would have been a good stay - but was hard to find room in the dark. Room numbers very small. Worse thing was the construction going on that started at 5am. This was in November 2024.

Solid choice when visiting The Island
The Wayback definitely brings a new flavor to Pigeon Forge. I've stayed at 4 different hotels within walking distance of The Island, and Wayback is the equal of any of 'em. Beds, TV, shower/bath, all great. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Property and room was nicely updated. Right across the street from the Islands. The AC in our room didn’t cool very well. Room and property were clean, but not spotless. Overall, I would stay again if I wanted a short stay or to primarily visit the islands and shops nearby.

Great poolside lounging
The room was completely renovated, everything seemed new and shower was very clean. The seating by the pool is so comfortable. The bartender was very friendly and talkative, we received complimentary drinks during our stay. We walked across the street for dinner the hotel is conveniently located to many attractions.

The Wayback
This property is absolutely amazing! We have stayed here multiple times in the last year. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The entire property is kept clean and the rooms are immaculate. The pool area is fantastic and it has a bar built into an old Airstream camper. At night, this area becomes adults only for drinks and socializing. The Wayback has become our favorite place to stay while visiting Pigeon Forge.

The staff is friendly and the rooms are nice. However they charge $150 for a pet fee even if you stay one night which means the pets pay more than the people. I felt this was unreasonable.
