Service was mediocre. Room was ok. I reserved one room and when I got there they gave me another that was smaller. That was the only disappointment. Oh and there was too much chlorine in the pool and it broke me and my kids out.

Stadf at the desk was friendly and helpfull for all interactions. The hotel is a little dated but not bad. The breakfast was TERRIBLE! Let's be honest most free breaksfast at hotels are what they are. This one was the worst we have ever had. First morning, no eggs, no protein, just biscuits. Very limited bagels, pastries, and stale donut holes. No cups for beverages. Seconds morning, eggs dripped water, sausage links were white, not sure what they were, only bread available, moat all toppings for the oatmeal were empty. The staff there did not speak english and another guest actually searched the cabinets for what they were looking for because she did not understand. The area was dirty both mornings.

Love that the property has river views. The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating, especially Shanika! Feedback for the breakfast buffet, the food was a little sad ie: the fruit options, very green bananas and dried out oranges, the donut holes were stale, the oatmeal was pasty, and there were no “to-go”lids for the paper coffee cups. Speaking of paper, I had to drink my nice bottle of Chardonnay for my room out of a paper cup :( No wine glasses available. ugh I expected more from a Marriott property.

It felt like we were on a private island. :p . Everything was very nice and plesent. The staff very friendly and the room was extra big with a sort of separate seating area . BONUS. They offer coffee/ tea all day and during night hours cookies and lemonaide. Another perk they had a nice big firepit outside with a view of the water amd bridge. ( some vegetation was in the way but it did t hinder the view) Overall a great place to stay.

Cj checked us in quick and efficiently. He was welcoming and friendly. The property was clean. Breakfast was tasty. We especially liked the back patio area with fire ring. It overlooked a blue bridge and was a peaceful spot to relax.

The property was old and outdated from the outside and in the rooms. The lobby was updated but the furniture had stains on it. The pool looked murky and I wouldn’t let my daughter swim in it. There was dirt pooled at the bottom it looked disgusting. The breakfast was awful with very limited choices. We stayed on the 4th floor and the rugs in the hallway had a bad smell that I noticed coming of the elevator immediately. The bathroom in the room was old and outdated and the tub had permanent stains in it. I wore flip flops in the shower. I will not be returning….

The pool was very nice. The hotel is not as upgraded as many hotels that are affiliated with Marriott. It was surprising that many things that are available at other Fairfield Inns were not available here. There is a great deal of potential for improvement

We booked a 2 night stay at this hotel due to our kids attending a very important camp close by. Our first night we were shocked to hear loud banding on walls, tv blasted and both adults and kids screaming next door. I went downstairs to speak to the front desk attendant and were dismissed and told there is nothing they can do. Not even move our room so we could sleep. This noise and screaming lasted until 3am. We spoke to another attendant in the morning and got the same sentiment- nothing can be done the second/upcoming night. She said all they could possibly do is offer Marriott points (we are not members and we told her this). I understand that noise happens and disruption but the lack of customer service /compassion and response was extremely disappointing. I will never return to this hotel and am extremely disappointed with the compassion that was given when all we wanted was a good nights sleep.

Good Option for Value Focused Travelers
The pros outweighed the cons by far. Pros: Very budget friendly with decent amenities, especially considering the price. Complimentary breakfast, an indoor pool and 24 laundry room were high on my list as we were staying a full week. The front desk staff were always very friendly and helpful. The rooms and common areas were decently clean. Every so often you’d see a spill in the hallway but overall the place was kept up on. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding and towels were very clean. Another huge plus was how close it is to the city. The property itself is in a very quiet area but still just a short drive to many of the places we wanted to visit in Pittsburgh. Cons: The rooms are a bit outdated and show some signs of wear and tear, nothing terrible, but you can definitely tell it’s been some time since the place was renovated. The breakfast selection was limited which normally wouldn’t be a complaint but I did notice that if you didn’t get there early you might have some difficulty as things were often not replenished when they ran out (things like plates and spreads for the toast and bagels). The carpet in the room could have been cleaner. The carpet was well vacuumed, but when walking around barefoot for a bit it became clear that they hadn’t been shampooed in a while. Overall, though there were a few cons I would absolutely stay again. For the price I was very happy with the property and service overall.
