Worst ever
Not clean broken oven, they were aware. Sewer Backed up in showers, pipes leaked, we called asap they sewer people call had to empty it was so full backed up in house. They told us they would come and clean showers no one came my family had to clean up before using shower spoke to office staff told us only they can call owner if necessary I did tell them well his house is flooding you might want to let him know then the owner did call and he offered to let us stay 4 more nights for free well we had to go back to work as we were 2hours away from home as it is stated they do not give refunds as all of this happened over thanksgiving.Also the furniture is torn up, broken and covered up with big blankets when you enter the home you are the one that has to start the pilot lights to start the fireplaces. If you’re going to use them the big buck video game that is down in the basement is broken and does not work. The pool table is in terrible shape and the ice hockey or the air hockey game is broke when trying to get to the property you’re gonna need four-wheel-drive because the trees and everything around the property you have to drive around. Trees logs limbs down everything when I asked the staff in the office where the property is located. They gave me a map and said they didn’t know. I should just drive around a while to try and find the spot however, the gentleman who take care of the trash when you drop off the trash center or fantasticdidn’t even have to get out of my vehicl

Worst rental ever
There was no hot water. I called and emailed, but there was no response. I waited, but then texted. Host was arrogant, combative and in helpful. We got the hot water on again, but it didn't last. The fridge would not dispense water or ice. The oven didn't work. The electronic door lock stopped working, locking us out! The host was dismissive, saying it was my fault for the poor service. BEWARE DO NOT RENT HERE!!

4 generation lake community getaway
This house is very large with an unique layout. We had 8 people from ages 5-82 and 2 dogs staying. There was enough area that we could all spread out during the day between the dining room tables, screened in porch, and two living areas. I will say, nobody in our group found the basement game room/extra bedroom to be very useable, and nobody was willing to sleep down there. We ended up having to put the roll away cots in the living room for extra sleeping space due to this. The bedroom is very enclosed, smelled mildewy, and had dead mice in the closet. Unlike the picture, it does not have a window in that room at all. We were excited about the games in the basement, but the shooting arcade game wouldn’t turn on, the air hockey table pucks were so damaged that they didn’t glide, and the pool table only had one useable stick. The fire pit needs to be replaced but was still useable and a nice area. The rest of the outside grounds could be better maintained and would benefit from an outside sitting area on the deck. The dock is a short walk from the house and was nice to be able to see the water from a private area, and the beach is also in walking distance. Air conditioning does not flow into the upstairs bedrooms easily. Luckily it wasn’t a very hot week and fans were provided for some relief. Overall, we had a good week and the house was large and clean. I wish it was configured differently to better accommodate sleeping however,

Poorly advertised
This house, though lovely, is poorly maintained. Below is a list of all the things that need addressing and made our stay less pleasurable: 1. Moldy shower curtain upstairs 2. Outside deck is unusable...overgrown with weeds. "hot tub" was full of weeds. 3. Screens coming off on upstairs windows 4. Upstairs has no central air - very uncomfortable 5. Ceiling fan wobbling in upstairs bedroom 6. No wash cloths 7. Not enough towels 8. Didn't know propane man had to come before getting any hot water/cooking, etc. 9. This was not a lakefront property 10. Dishwasher not functional since racks were broken and kept falling off. We had to use paper plates. 11. Toilet paper holder broken in master bathroom 12. Bathroom faucet knob fell off. 13. No ice maker; water dispenser in fridge barely works. 14. Dining room Chandelier too low and poorly position; kept hitting our heads on it. Enjoyed the beach and the pool. My family and I made the best of our stay despite all the issues. I'm sure our stay would have been much more enjoyable had everything advertised for this house been functioning. We should have some money refunded because of some of the issues I have listed. We won't be returning here in the future, but the things I have listed should be addressed for future renters. The family of Octavia Zampella - July 5-10, 2024

Wonderful family vacation
Our family had a great time in this lovely, spacious home in this quiet lakeside resort. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, hanging out on the beach at the lake, fishing from the pier and canoing. The owner was very responsive to our needs.

The house was beautiful. We just wished the upstairs had air conditioning. We could not use the upstairs because it was extremely hot up there . Also the arcade games did not work Also, when we tried to use the jacuzzi the hot water kept shutting off. Other than that the house is beautiful and we had a great time at the pool & beach.

For a weekend away it was perfect. The property manager was great with questions. Like we had issues turning on the stove top. And he walked us through it. Only things I wasn't a big fan of the pictures of the basement make it look tall it really wasn't. Perfect for kids area or short adults.

This house has an unusual layout but was clean and functional. Beds are all small and uncomfortable. TV on main floor needs to be replaced. Pool sticks need new tips, arcade game did not work and basement bedroom is isolating. Hot tub was not usable.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway
We stayed for a family trip. The house is beautiful and was very clean. We had a couple of maintenance issues which we were able to address with the property management company. The house offers plenty of space with the four bedrooms and two living rooms. It was close to the grocery store so you can stock up on groceries to cook during your stay. It was very relaxing and peaceful. The kitchen was plenty big to hold our family of 8. The enclosed porch was the perfect resting place for me and my siblings and where we spent most of our time. The bedrooms had memory foam Mattresses which were comfortable. The three bathrooms allowed us to use facilities and shower without all of us bothering each other. I would definitely come back.

Family Labor Day Weekend
The property was amazing! Super clean, spacious, and had everything you could need. Since it was nine of us, it was so helpful to have a washer & dryer in the home. There are two living rooms, a fire pit, a grill, a HUGE kitchen and fit all nine of us perfectly. The only thing negative I can think of is the room with the twin beds is located in the basement which could be far for small kids. However, we put two adults down there and it was sufficient. Lastly, the property manager was helpful, and available for all my silly questions. The community is so nice and welcoming. I'd highly recommend staying here :)

Great house for large groups and perfect location
Despite a few cleaning issues when we first arrived, our family group enjoyed the house. Lots of living areas to spread out; large dining table and adequately supplied kitchen; comfortable beds; and parking for 5-6 cars. For the size of the house it would be nice to have 5 bedrooms rather than only 4 of which one is in the basement. The house is a bit dark with plenty of lights. But we had to ask John how to turn many of them on. Requires pushing the switches and not just sliding them. We had 4 carloads and before arriving we were very confused as to how the check in would go. Yes you complete an online registration of everyone's license plates. But all you need to do when you arrive is go to the welcome center and show your drivers license to get the gate swipe card. An FYI for day guests is that they do not need to register in advance. Just have guests park and then call so you can pick them up at the welcome center. Also the wrist bands are only needed for the island pool complex. There is a pinewood deli just outside the gate that has good food and some essentials if you don't want to cook. Finally, taking garbage and recycling to the welcome center is a drag but understandable. We just did it every day so it didn't accumulate and smell up the house. So overall we had a good experience and John the property manager was very friendly and responsive.

Great House!
The first floor was huge and met our needs for our family of nine. Also, the master suite on the first floor was huge. The two bedrooms on the second floor with great room and bar were perfect. The lower level game room with freezer in the basement worked for us. We used the fire pit by the house and did walk to the brand new dock several times. We couldn't use the fire pit by the lake and the outside deck on the house. The inside covered porch was beautiful and spacious. The owner and property manager were extremely helpful before and during our stay. We enjoyed our vacation!

Big family getaway
The house had everything we needed for babies through grandparents. The community was peaceful and had plenty of events and amenities to keep us entertained for 9 days. The property manager communicates thoroughly and efficiently. We also really enjoyed our deer and bear sightings through the stay.

TLC and Visitor Considerations Needed
This place could be nice with much more attention to it. The landscaping was not taken care of, overrun with weeds. The back deck was so overgrown with weeds it was unusable. The firepit had to be cleaned up before we could use it. We did appreciate the wood to use at the firepit. As far as the inside of the house, it was not cleaned well at all. Counters had crumbs and didn’t seem to be wiped off. The floor was dirty, did not seem to be wet mopped. One of the worse things was no air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms. Since both my daughters and their husbands each had a dog, they needed to keep their doors closed at night which made it hot to sleep every night. We did not know about those bedrooms not having AC until we got arrival info a day or two before coming. If not hooked to central air, both of those bedrooms should have their own air conditioners. The grill was usable but not clean. Thank goodness for aluminum foil. We, as a family, really enjoyed the beach and swimming in the lake. However, on Thursday we had to leave the beach early and the beaches and water were closed because of ecoli in the water. Our 4 year old grandchild started with diarrhea later that day and continued the next day. I know the owners can not do anything about that, but it did interfere with our stay. We found out that same day that we should not drink the water because it’s not safe. We had been using it for coffee and drinking some. We should have been told before.

Fantastic House!
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! Tons of space, comfortable furniture, great kitchen, fireplaces, a luxury bath...all in an area that was peaceful and serene. My one concern, and it's a vital one, is smoke detectors. Or rather, the lack of them. We saw only one, located in the master bedroom. The owner should research the number and placement locations needed in a house of this size and install them immediately. Neglecting this safety precaution could result in tragedy for either the owners or guests. I would be remiss in not noting this. Another suggestion is to give some TLC to the back deck area. While it is an ideal spot for catching some sun or feeding the deer, it is also overgrown with tall weeds, which is a shame. The deck has terraced raised beds for flowers and the perfect center area for a small fountain. But it has been sadly neglected. This area would be a little oasis with a bit of care. Aside from the above, the house and location are stellar. Anyone would love a stay here!

Birthday and Anniversary Get Away
We had a wonderful time at the Bow Path home! Chris was very nice to deal with. The Bow Path is large, beautiful and quite unique with American Indian decor throughout. It actually somewhat reminded our daughters of the Yellowstone series. The stone and woodwork throughout the house was beautiful. We loved the whole house, especially the large kitchen, living room and upstairs bar area. Next time we plan on taking advantage of the activities that are going on within the community too. Great time and Wonderful memories!
