The salt water pool was lovely, art was so fun, property was beautiful, food/staff/housekeeping was beyond our expectations. We will be back, in fact already booked next visit. Reasonably priced as well! 5 star all around.

Watch with amazement and relax after days work

What a wonderful way to wind down at the end of my business work days in the warm soaking pool, never was full or kid splashing, bar close so relax, lay back and enjoy. After great food and service. I say one evening at the bar in the Power Station and watched in AMAZEMENT the skillful order monitoring of food servers and handling all the food orders, was so entertaining and I wanted to applause when orders were juggled, was such fun. Sorry the hotels.com site would not upload my photos.

Come in the winter

Just a quick trip to Portland for an appointment. This is an interesting place with a lot of history to it. I always feel like I need to dust at McMenamins since there decor is so dim. The property is well maintained and I’m sorry I’ll miss the gardens in bloom. However I would not stay here in the spring or summer because of the traffic noise. Really really loud. The spa is lovely, make sure to make reservations in advance. Food is the same as every other McMenamins.
