Great stay and A+ service!
My wife and I stayed here for several days and interacted with about a half dozen employees who were all exceptional. From the front desk attendants to the shuttle driver, everyone was helpful, friendly, and professional. The room was nice enough and clean, no complaints, and the location couldn't be better. We didn't pay for parking, but instead used street parking and it worked great. That said, your milage may vary depending on day of the week, season, etc. Would definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm in Portland.

We love the Portland Regency. It has a charm specific to old port. Great location to walk around Portland and close to the water. Staff is wonderful.

The hotel is nice and well kept. It's a bit pricey, but then it's location is premium--right in the heart of old town surrounded by lots of history and quaint restaurants and shops that are walkable on cobblestone streets. The water front is only about a block away. Recommend wearing shoes with good support as the cobblestones are uneven and it could be easy to twist an ankle or stumble.

The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is a fascinating historic hotel set perfectly in downtown, with easy access to most of the sights a visitor would want to see. We were upgraded to a large suite with historic features, which was most welcome. The property is in excellent condition overall, but our TV had a broken aerial cable that we fixed ourselves after a staff member had reset the TV, and the carpet and mantlepiece were a little stained and dusty. I would still recommend the hotel as an excellent option for staying in Portland.
