The Paramount was a very comfortable hotel and centrally located to many walkable destinations in Portland. The restaurant and pub have good atmospheres and serve food which is well above most other hotels.

The overall quality of the Paramount hotel was quite clean and comfortable. What I'd like to complain about is the financial hurdles they make you jump thru. There were a few hidden fees that made our stay way more expensive than we anticipated. One was an amenity fee which we didn't even get to use any of the amenities during our stay like the work out room. They refused to give me an itemized receipt which was suspicious but said one would be sent to my email, which it wasn't. So nice place but very shady transaction.

This was our first stay with this provider and we were really impressed. Very luxurious feel, nice amenities in the room and great service at the front desk, plus good free self serve coffee options in the lobby. The room was clean and very comfortable. We had a fun evening at the on site bar, enjoying the food and drinks. The location is perfect for exploring the downtown core on foot, for grabbing the streetcar to go further afield, or to take a short drive to see destinations on the outskirts of town. Also, most of the tour companies seem to have their pick up point conveniently within a block of the hotel. The valet parking service, while at a cost, is appreciated since self parking in Portland is limited and challenging.

Good choice for Portland. Quiet, comfy beds, decent bathroom, what you want for a weekend stay. Enjoyed the breakfast and the bar. Area was OK but downtown Portland in general is pretty sad these days, though that is hardly the hotel's fault.

Nice but missing convenient staples
Nice hotel, however bed and pillows were not to our liking. Also would have liked microwave in the room. No convenient food options nearby except for in hotel. Never did find a decent coffee shop close by. Hotel is clean and nice though.
