Lovely hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was lovely, the hotel was very clean and as a female solo traveller I felt very safe walking to and from the hotel. The toiletries in the bathroom were lovely. There were good dining options around the hotel. The only niggle is the seating in the restaurant/bar and the lobby area is uncomfortable which is a pity as would have been great to sit and relax after a day of sight seeing. A great hotel and would definitely recommend.

Fabulous hotel. Very reasonably priced for the central location - really close to all the key sights in the historic centre, loads of restaurants nearby and main shopping street very close. Breakfast was great, staff were really friendly, rooftop bar and small pool was great

Awesome location for easy access to everything!

Really lovely vibe on the roof terrace and comfortable beds and awesome location. Two very small observations to make. Hotel clearly geared up for solo stay work travellers and so a bedside table and light switches on only one side of the bed when you’re two people in a room is a bit of a downer. Also we checked in late at night, tired, and just trying to focus on the fab weekend ahead. But our hotel host at the time wanted nothing more but to focus on the negative. The weather was due to be pretty bad. And boy did he labour the point. We kept saying, nevermind we know, we have seen the forecast, but we are here and ready to embrace. But he kept at it. “Could be better though. Could be better though.” Lesson in hospitality services needed. Night cover of reception desk should not mean a negative first impression

I was looking for pool, after much research I choose this one for the large pool. When I saw the pool it was shock, I thought I accidently booked the wrong one but when I looked it up it was the one that showed this nice large pool, well the picture was stretched about 5 times the actual size it turned out to be a wading pool, maybe 2 feet deep by 10 feet? Very deceptive pictures, would have booked another hotel if I had know there was not a swimming pool at his one.

Perfect base for a Porto City Break

The ethos and styling of the Social Hub along with its central location made it an ideal base for our city break. The rooms and communal areas were smart and clean. In room amenities were excellent. Great food choices at breakfast. Would recommend.

Enjoyable 3 night stay at The Social Hub in Porto

The location was excellent with historic sights and restaurants within an easy walk. The rooftop bar and pool were nice added touches. The prices at the bar and coffee shop were high for Portugal. The room was small but comfortable with a long hallway in that seemed like wasted space. No luggage rack in the room forcing use of the desk chair for the second suitcase. The hallway would have been an ideal area for a luggage rack. Overall a comfortable and enjoyable stay that we would recommend.

Very good hotel, new, clean and helpful, friendly staff. Would’ve been 5 stars but parking is €25 per night. No discount for hotel users. Minimal breakfast options and doesn’t suit many dietary requirements.
