We provide guests with secure door entry fobs and take security very seriously. The only way a guest could have entered your room was if you had left it unlocked. This is your responsibility to keep you door locked. To get a rating of 1 out of 5 because of this is unacceptable. We work very hard to provide guests with a wonderful experience and quite frankly to receive a rating such as yours is somewhat of a demotivating to us all. We can’t control if a guest inadvertently goes into the wrong room, nor can we take responsibility for guests who decide to leave their doors unlocked. The only thing we can do is review whether we look to operate and install self locking doors. In our view a most unhelpful review.

Ashbys offers its guests 2 hot tubs and a sauna. Public spaces have free WiFi. Meeting rooms and coworking spaces are available. Spa services, barbecue grills, and an arcade/games room are also featured at Ashbys. Limited parking is available for a fee and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. This 4-star Portsmouth guest house is smoke free.
