Tired but functional. The hotel is OK, but a bit shabby round the edges...it's in need of some serious modernisation. There's no aircon, no lifts, poor lighting, the room has evidence of fittings that have been removed but no tidying up of leftover filler etc.
That said...everything worked, the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and there was plenty of parking. And the staff were very pleasant, always helps when booking in after a long day's work.
The Hungry Horse linked to the hotel was full of families that looked like extras from Lord of the Rings, complete with feral kids...but the food was, of course, simple but LARGE :-D
Would I stay there again? If it's the cheapest option by a mile then yes, but I'm not rushing to go back.
