The position is excellent for visiting family. The staff were friendly and helpful but training is needed resolving issues. We returned to our room on our final night and found that neither entry card worked. A new card was issued. We entered the room and it had not been serviced. When questioned about both issues, the staff instead owning them, suggested we had placed the cards close to our phones, which wipes the card memory. This was not the case. The room was not cleaned because we had hung a 'greener stay' card ond the door when we left. This was impossible because we did not have the green stay card, just the standard 'still in or clean my room. Whilst the staff were very friendly and helpful, they should understand that the customer should never ,at the outset, be at fault. This has made us reconsider changing our location when we visit family

Good value for money
Good value for money. The hotel is clean and the rooms are big. Food was good and the breakfast choice was ample. Friendly and helpful staff. We will stay here again when visiting QA hospital as it's only 10 minutes away.

Staff here are very friendly and helpful, especially Ali. The bar is open late and the lounge area was always quiet enough to find an open table. The hotel is convenient for the motorways. The beds were super comfortable, giving a great night's sleep. Do make sure you take care of the parking fees on arrival - but there's really no excuse not to, as there are plenty of signs advising you to do so, and a simple to use app. Very happy with our stay and we will return.

Good value.
Very good short stay, room was very clean and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety. Plenty of parking, with a 50% discount overnight. Will stay again in the future.

One night stay, Although the room was very comfortable and clean customer Service was very poor - when booking in reception tried to charge me for a room I had paid for in advance & Breakfast was unlike anything I have encountered, it was total chaos as it seemed like 1 man was trying to do everything on his own. There was a sign saying “wait here to be seated but nobody was available to direct us and all tables were either occupied or left untidy with previous occupants plates etc.. there was no milk, no clean plates or cutlery, many food items were gone and awaiting refill, all the tables were dirty and as mentioned before many had previous diners plates and cups still on them - it was bedlam!

I think caught them on a bad weekend. Clearly understaffed - big queue at reception, burst pipe in kitchen, restaurant not open, room not made up, smelled awful in corridors. 4 trips to reception says it all! The staff tried their best though and I’m sure it’s not normally like this. Just a shame as we don’t go away as a family much.

The hotel needs to get some sav blanc wine as my wife could not get a drink not good for a hotel. Plus restaurant menu is not worth the price they ask. Staff very friendly and helpful also need towel rails for drying your towels after shower if they want you to look after the environment for housekeeping

COLD FOOD, CHARGING FOR PARKING
The food was cold, the hot plates had not been turned on at 08:15, another guest showed me this and the next minute a member of staff like grease lightning ran over to the hot plates switched them all on then ran off again. I would say they had not been switched on at all that morning and the food was left to go cold once put into the "hot plates" Charging for parking is not acceptable £10 per night is ridiculous £5 discount for hotel guests is still not acceptable will use other hotels that don't charge for parking in future

Clean, comfortable and easy access to Portsmouth.
Check in was without issue, the lady at reception was very polite. Room was comfortable and clean. There was however a fire alarm activated at around 11pm, which did not cancel for sometime which caused several of us to start to evacuate. No staff were visible and had to contact reception to find out whether we still had to leave the building.
