Staff was exceptional cordial and pleasant. Took time to talk with guests. Breakfast was Continental but seating was in lovely dining room. Four of us has dinner there. All were more than satisfied with service and delicious meals. The Governor's Inn was exceptional clean and well maintained. We will definitely return when we are in the area. It is a gem!
Wonderfull colonial era converted house. A real gem. Staff was wondeful and the onsite restauarant was fabulous. Food was excellent and bery reasonably priced. Would highly reccomend
Our stay was amazing. Such a cute place. Walls are a little thin, but that comes with staying at an Inn, so it wasn't a huge issue. Will definitely stay here agin while I'm in town.
There is a restaurant in this hotel with very good food and drinks. Everything was clean and neat. My only complaint would be that the room had a strange odor. I think it was probably the cleaning products they used.

Quaint New England spot- restaurant was excellent and very reasonable. If you’re in the area-would definitely recommend.
A very old historic property. If you love history, you’ll love it. If you want chrome and glass, not the place for you. The rooms are clean and charming. The restaurant has a great menu with lots of options. I never had a bad meal. Lots of spaces to sit quietly and read both inside and out. The staff is just brilliant. My next trip to NH, I’ll definitely be staying here again.

Beds were hard. Only had one day where the bed was made up. Not old age user friendly. Staff was very courteous and friendly.
It has an old style that I enjoyed and so did lots of other folks as the place was busy with outdoor events which weren't loud once I was in my room. The outdoor area was super festive with twinkle lights. It was a bit hard to find parking Sat night. The room and bathroom were clean and comfy. I felt safe. My only complaint was I wish there was a mini fridge in the room.
Elegant and historic, first Inn of NH. Watch out for the third floor room, while it’s spacious and a comfortable suite, it has a sloping ceiling with eaves. Plenty of hiking trails. Coffee service was spotty, only mostly 8-10. Continental breakfast. Kuerig in lobby was broken and not repaired over a four day span. Would be really nice to have hard boiled eggs for lactose intolerant folks.
It has breakfast included!
It is quiet but there are weekend activities like Murder Mysteries, theatre, bands at the garage bar, lunch and dinner at the Steak and Ale on the premises or easy walk downtown.
The rooms are cute and clean and comfy
