This property is new and lovely. Room was excellent. The issues are the food was ok and they are understaffed in the restaurants. Waiting 1.5 hours for a meal. Buffet ok, hard to get a drink served with table staff at buffet. They are also deceptive and pouring cheap liquor out of top shelf brands. Eg. Main bar asked for a Disaronno on ice, they poured it out of a Disaronno bottle but it was a pink tinged cheap Ameretto.

There was dried vomit on my bathroom floor and in the shower. I even had the maid come on the day before I checked out and it was still there. Staff moved furniture upstairs at 11:30p at night while the bars were open. Not everyone was there so sleeping was a no go until after 1a. Reservations on your first night are impossible. The reservations we had on both days in the different restaurants were at or after 9p and took 35-45mins for food to be prepared. The steakhouse steak was inedible so we left hungry. Frank & Lola’s Italian was the only thing good. Everything else was passable or just not good. We saw people cleaning the pools but not well. One day the manager was taking the staff around during the middle of the day to point out things they missed. Also, they were spraying for bugs directly into people’s facing in the pool in the middle of the day. This was not only disrespectful but hazardous. Most staff were friendly, others not so much. Needless to say paying to upgrade to the swimout with a dirty pool, disgusting bathroom, and limited food I will not be back.

We went to Frank and Lola’s Italian restaurant twice during our 5 night stay. Food, service and staff were outstanding . We were there during a cyclone and our group made the best of it that day and partied in the pool all day (why not we were wet being in the pool anyway). Staff were amazing, allowing us to stay in the pool and then ensuring we got to safety when the peak of the storm hit. Thank you ❤️ Staff throughout the resort were fabulous ! We were a group of ten women. We felt so safe and had amazing time . Love that it’s a smaller resort. We would definitely love to return ! Cheers !

The resort was gorgeous. The pool was beautiful, the staff was great and they had lots of activities to keep everyone entertained. The food, however, was NOT great. The breakfast at the buffet was fine as breakfast goes, the lunch there was TERRIBLE, and dinner was ok - not many options. We ate at the Chill, that was ok, I had a steak taco that needed some seasoning. The Landshark was probably the best one. We couldn't do the Steakhouse during our stay because it was all booked, but we did the Italian. That was really good, but unfortunately both me and my spouse got sick afterwards. So sick, we couldn't separate ourselves from the bathroom the entire night. The drinks were good, especially at the lobby bar. There they don't have frozen drinks, but they do have premium liquor (like Greygoose, etc). You can get frozen drinks at the poolside bars. The Landshark in the evening was very fun. There was a night where they had the silent party, another night was Karaoke - it was a good time. One other thing to note - this resort is adults only, which is great, BUT if you are on the younger side (20s-30s) this resort is NOT for you. It appeals to an older crowd (50s ). I was hoping they would AT LEAST play top 40s music, but the best we got was Disco.

I recently stayed at Margaritaville Riviera Maya, and overall, it was a good experience, though there’s room for improvement. The room was spacious and comfortable, and I especially loved the bathtub in the shower – a nice touch for relaxation. Dining at Frank & Lola’s was enjoyable; the food was great, but I wish there were more reservation slots available. It was frustrating to see empty tables yet not many time options. The same goes for JWB Steakhouse, as availability could be better. Activities were fun, especially the foam party, though it would be even better if the DJ portion was longer. It would also be great if activities like this started on Thursdays and continued through the weekend to keep the energy up. The buffet was decent – the food quality was good, but it wasn’t served hot, which took away from the experience. Overall, I’d rate the resort a 6/10. There’s potential here, but a few tweaks would make a big difference in the guest experience.

Checked in and the room was not ready which is no big deal. We went to the boat house to have lunch and ate there. The food was ok but some of it was cold. We then got our room which we were not even told where it was. We had to ask and a lady in yellow showed us to are room. Got to the swim up which was not really a swim up. You have to walk by three rooms just to get into the water. Later that night I got food poisoning from lunch and was sick. The sink was backed up but maintenance showed up quick and fixed it (best service the whole trip). Next day went to concierge told them and explained the issues we were having with AC, getting sick and lack of beach (even though website and pictures so one) and was told management would get with us. Never got AC fixed or talked to management. Then at license to chill had to wait 30 mins just for water which we only got one and my wife had to go grab the other. Then after a hour waiting on food my wife had to go grab it from the counter as it was sitting there for awhile. Besides all that room service was great and quick. Management doesn’t care about issues even when we checked out early they were going to come talk to us and no one ever showed up.

We had an Ocean view swim-out room which was VERY nice, but if you book one bring ear plugs. It is directly above a nightclub that goes until at least 1 AM every night. The staff was very nice, the food was good, the property was clean and presentable, I would definitely return. But again, earplugs.

This resort is an excellent fit if you really want to wind down! The restaurants at fantastic, do visit Frank and Lola’s for Italian cuisine! Staff are amazing!
