We arrived to stay for two nights and paid to valet for two nights. I was surprised that there was no fridge in the room. There was a charcuterie plate with pork on it that had clearly been sitting out for hours. It was a nice gesture but meat and cheese sitting out for hours isn’t appealing. I was surprised at how dated the room was. I called about a refrigerator and they stated that was the upgraded room. Apparently I was supposed to get that as a VIP but they were not bothered. I went to unpack because hey what’s two nights in a meh hotel. When I put the luggage rack up it was broken. The lampshade was cracked and there was poop ok the balcony. I pulled the covers back and there was a bug. My friend and I immediately started looking for another place to stay. After we confirmed a condo was available elsewhere I called the front desk to let them know that I would be checking out and asked if they would consider refunding one night. They said I would need to contact Expedia. I said well what is your policy because that is what they will follow. They said that I needed to cancel 3 days in advance for a refund. Too bad I couldn’t know ahead that a place would have these issues. I stopped at the front desk to hand in my keys and stated that I would like to check out. I said yes I just called down and asked if she would like to know my reasons so that they could consider a partial refund since we checked in< an hour before. She said no. I be posting the pics. Unbelievable!
