The property was very well-kept, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The pool was relaxing, with a great vibe. The breakfast buffet had a good selection. The French toast is fantastic. One of the best parts was that we didn't have to be at the pool for 8 AM to get a spot. They don't allow people to use towels to hold beds or chairs. The margaritas were delicious, but the food menu at the pool was limited. The pool is on the rooftop (11th floor) We were on the 9th floor facing south (The bay view with balcony). You can sometimes hear the traffic, especially the motorcycles and cars with no mufflers or loud trucks. The internet was high-speed (250mbps). Good food options are nearby, including the Food Park and a mall with a Walmart-type grocery store for sunscreen, snacks and drinks for the room. We always felt safe walking around the resort. If you head southeast of the hospital, there are several taco stands and restaurants off the beaten path that are relatively inexpensive and delicious.

A friend and I enjoyed our week at the Mio from December 21st to 28th. The room was bright, modern, clean, and most importantly, had no mold or mildew in the ventilation system. We found the hard-working staff very accommodating and friendly. Buffet breakfasts offered an incredibly variety of delicious Mexican flavours, health options, as well as a standard omelet station. Beach access was so convenient - a four-minute walk immediately north and west of the property, with arrangements seemingly in place for discrete passage through the lobby of a beachfront hotel as directed by Mio check-in staff. The roof-top pool’s overly-warm temperature was slightly cooler the last day of our stay, which made swimming and cooling down truly refreshing. Areas of pool tiles were missing or loose; as this area is the main attraction, repair would be ideal. As other guests have noted in reviews, techno-pop was played at ear-splitting volume from late afternoon ‘till 8 every evening. Conversation became difficult. Simply attenuating the volume would ensure all guests are accommodated as musical tastes vary. We resorted to earplugs or left to enjoy beach walks during such times. I suspect more than a few of the guests would welcome a mix of music - sax to instrumental would make the roof-top area incredibly spa-like and relaxing. We’d return - with fresh earplugs.

Overall, I’d have to say our stay at Mio was terrible. The reason for this rating is several things actually. The service was hit and miss mostly miss especially at the pool. It was terrible. But the service at the buffet breakfast in the morning was excellent. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the pool facilities upstairs. It's filthy. Many tiles are missing, and the water is only knee-deep and dirty with floaties everywhere. It’s not a pool it’s a wading pool. And the outside noise is extreme, you hear everything.

the place is great and the breakfast is amazing, there are many different kinds of food and your can try each of them. But only thing I didn’t like was nosing around the room at night, as the hotel is by the roadside.

Hotel Mio is an excellent option if you want to have a quiet time, an excellent view of the beach and good drinks in the roof top pool. I’d just add more drinks and food to the roof top pool menu, but apart from that the property is really nice and the service is excellent!!

Excellent customer service, Very clean and staff is super friendly. Restaurant is nice but we only ate breakfast there so I don't know if they serve other meals. The only thing I can suggest is to put some kind on net around the outdoor eating area to prevent all the birds from flying in and around the tables. That part was annoying.

The noise from the main street is overwhelming, one can hardly sleep in a vacation. Service from the hotel staff is mixed, some are very helpful, like Antonio; and some are the opposite, like Andrea and Karla. Breakfast has a good variety. Some staff can not speak English, which causes communication barriers.

Pretty nice hotel, and definitely worth the money. Breakfast buffet was good as well. Walkable distance to a lot of point of views. And they shared the beach with Fiesta but the front desk did not tell us. We got told by a tour guide.
