Have stayed at this property multiple times. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Well managed, no frills, clean, lovely protected courtyard hotel. Intentionally choose this hotel because of its reasonable pricing and location in the heart of Zona Romantica.

Great hotel with a real Mexican feel. Great location to restaurants, bars, shopping...very walkable. The room was very comfortable and clean. Air conditioning worked wonderfully and the shower was great!! Already booked for next year!! :)

Wonderful friendly hotel in the heart of old downtown. When you enter the courtyard it’s like leaving the bustle of the busy street and stepping into a lovely oasis. The staff are very friendly, the facilities nicely maintained, add there is even pool to cool off in. We recommend this hotel for those seeking an experience in old downtown, and will definitely stay here again!

Inappropriate neighborhood

We loved this old authentic beautiful charming hotel! Beautiful neighborhood close to the beach but unfortunately we will not be returning. Im not sure how to word this but the neighborhood is inappropriate for children and me and my wife . It is the epicenter for homosexuality in Puerto Vallarta. There were men barely clothed directly outside the hotel offering services. We spent the first 3 nights of our month long trip here, fortunately we moved 10 minutes north to the Loft Hotel on the Malecon which is a completely different vibe. I dont think I understood the area "Romantica Zone" correctly.

Great service, very friendly staff. Clean hotel - can see the staff cleaning the common areas multiple times a day, room cleaning also great. Staff helped with booking the excursions as well. Shared kitchen was also nice - was able to store food in the fridge and make coffee in the morning

Overall the place was charming, in a great location for those who like to be close to great restaurants, the malacon etc., and good value for the money. It was clean, reasonably comfortable, with friendly and helpful staff. However, the pool was not deep enough to swim in - basically just a dipping pool - and while there were umbrellas beside the pool-side lounge chairs, they did not provide adequate protection against the sun for moments when I just wanted to laze around for a bit and read a book. Another minor drawback was the bathroom. First, there was about a 6" step to get into the bathroom, which could be a problem for someone with mobility issues. Secondly, the water pressure in the shower was so light, it was little more than a sprinkle.

We have been staying here for over a decade. For its price, it has always been a great option. The front desk staff are not as welcoming as they used to be. Used to feel like going to the home away from home. This time we invited artist friends to vacation with us and where told we couldn’t make out art in the hotels common spaces…strange given how much Rodger painted. Still, a good value.
