Pros:
1. Excellent customer service of hotel staff. Concierge was very attentive to our concerns and went above and beyond to improve/elevate our stay. Friendly staff who can generally understand English.
2. Nice family pool and infinity pool, clean grounds.
3. Mostly good food in restaurants.
4. There is a bike rental shop, convenience shop (under renos during our stay) and pharmacy (for toiletries and common meds) right in front of the property.
Cons:
1. Wifi reception is spotty in most common areas other than the special guest lounge. Our first room (Standard) had virtually no wifi - a problem since I needed to be reachable by work. Concierge installed a wifi router/booster in our room after I explained my need.
2. Safety deposit boxes had battery issues. Action was quick but did not resolve issue in our first room. Upon follow up 2 days after, they immediately upgraded us for free to a Junior Suite Pool View room. The second safe also had battery issues but was fixed the following day.
3. Facilities need some cosmetic renovations (fresh coat of paint) but nothing of serious concern.
4. Hard to find a quiet spot to lounge. Both pools have music blaring. Adult pool always had thumping music that only a few guests seemed to enjoy. Whoever controlled the music does not read the crowd.
5. Horseback riding is available on the beach, independent of the hotel. But, horses will poop where they need to.
6. Buffet wait staff got slammed during the busy weekend.
