I love the beaches and the pool. They were spectacular. That being said, the service was not that great and at times non existent. The lobby was terrible. Their service was no good or help. The application to reserve the restaurants online was terrible and didn’t work properly and the lobby because of how their system was built could not reserve the restaurants on their end which makes no sense. At best the service was decent but not really attentive. Do only time when the staff was attentive is when they were trying to sell you a package or product every 5 minutes which was super annoying. I would not recommend this hotel. I enjoyed myself with my family and I will be back but not at this property
I will start by saying if you DO NOT like to eat at the different restaurants then choose this resort. The staff was great, the room was clean! The night club was open during our stay. What I did not like was the fact that we had to put our reservation in for the restaurants 48-24 hrs in advance (which they never had openings) . We ended up having to eat off the resort. Other than that the stay was great.
This is my fourth time here at this resort and the quality of service has declined. They gave me a room where the AC was messed up. The room was hot. And the fridge was not working and had not been restocked. When we went to complain at the front Ricardo was extremely rude and upset as if it was our fault. We explained we have a four month old daughter and the room was too hot plus her milk needed to be stored in the fridge. Eventually they changed our room. Then we made reservations one night to the Japanese hibachi restaurant for 6 but we had a group of 12 so we spoke to the staff and they said they would accommodate and change our reservation to add more people. When we showed up they said they couldn’t find my reservation. The hostess Esperanza called us liars and the supervisor Elizabeth kept antagonizing us saying she did remember when the day hostess changed our reservation but that she wasn’t supposed to do that. The hostess Esperanza started getting loud and belittling us and told us to leave and that we were lying. And this was done all in front of a group of people waiting for their turn. I was so upset that I teared up. She finally found the reservation and me and my family no longer wanted to eat and we left. Horrible treatment and I would no longer return to this resort.

The property is under renovations so they took electricity and water every now and then. The property is beautiful, the restaurants were not good at all, the only one our entire group liked was the Japanese one.
Though the room had been renovated, the bathroom had not and the shower was a disaster. The handle on the door broke day one of our trip. The door also caused water to leak out every time we used the shower. We also saw a cockroach walk by the entrance of our building. The staff was very nice though and they had fun activities for kids.
This is the second time we have vacationed in Punta Cana and the first time at this resort. Huge difference in the service and quality of care here at the Royalton. Every employee went out of their way to say “hola”! Service was second to none and done with a smile. There was a good bit of construction going on but everything looked clean and I rarely heard any power tools. Food was much better than we expected as well! I would definitely recommend this resort to friends and family and I would also be happy to come back!
This Hotel is nothing like in the pictures. To start the staff treats like you are a local just because you look like one and take care if you last. At least half of the resort was under construction. Most of the bathrooms had no doors around the resort and were not able to be used. Dining reservations Couldn't be made from my device for any restaurants. Room was dirty, smelled really bad ( cigarettes and humid). Really bad experience and I highly doubt I will ever stay in this location again.

The place was fine but I am not satisfied at the fact that it said on Expedia it said it had a nightclub and there was no nightclub and they said it’s been under construction for over a year
