Don't waste your time or money this hotel is one of the worst hotels in the DR. We just got back and wow I do have to say we won't be back. The only good thing at this hotel is the beach and the property. The food was gross we had to go out of the resort to eat because you were only getting 2 reservation for 6 nights. And the staff not friendly unless you pay. I'm telling you guys this don't waste you money please.

Excellent! Not our first stay and won’t be our last! We had a great time! The staff is amazing! To name a few, Dania and Ivan at the buffet, excellent service! Francisca and De la Paz at the snack bar, amazing! Wally at the pool bar, great with kids, amazing service too! The gentlemen that cleans the pool, they work hard at keeping things clean! Animation team, best team ever! Special shout out to Pablo! He is great with our kids and made sure everyone had a blast during our vacation! Can’t wait to go back!

Everything was great. The food was actually good. I'm pescatarian and there were lots of options. I eat mostly vegetarian and was not concerned with the buffet. Lots of good options. It's not like FANCY but it's good. The a la carte restaurants weren't as great for vegetarians, however. The family suite was great to have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but I wish the main door was in the primary bedroom, vs the kids room. One night, housekeeping dropped off something (let themselves in) while my kid was sleeping and we had our bedroom door closed. We heard a noise so luckily went and checked, and it was fine, but SUPER odd. That was the only weird thing. The beds were fine for a couple nights, but were a bit softer than I prefer. The size of the resort is nice, you can walk everywhere, or take the tram. The tram was more of a novelty for us, if we needed a break with the kiddo. The beach was great. The pools were great. The breakfast at the beach (at 8am) was so great. My son's favourite was "coconut guy" who is a groundskeeper who chops down coconuts and gives them out at the resort. At the end of the week my son hugged him, he loved him so much. It was adorable. We had a great time.

We had the most EXCELLENT time. I was a little concerned after reading some poor reviews, but I had nothing to be concerned about. Everything was exceptionally clean (room, grounds, pools, restaurants, etc.). We were so impressed by the service and thoughtfulness of the staff. The food was delicious and varied. The restaurants were top notch. Our favorite was the hibachi. We loved Majestic Elegance when we visited previously, but Tropical Deluxe Princess rivals it. We will definitely stay here again. It had less of a party crowd - lots of older couples & families. It was also so quiet at night and many activities were offered during the day. Excellante!

It was our first time at a resort in Punta Cana. It’s a beautiful country. We were looking for more individual activities like riding jet skis, but it was a great place to relax. The iguanas and birds on the walkway were a nice touch.

I stayed at the resort for a couples’ vacation, and overall, it was a fantastic experience. The beach was stunning and completely free of seaweed, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. We had a family room with two bathrooms, which gave us plenty of space to get ready comfortably. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable, though we occasionally noticed an unpleasant sewage-like odor coming from the vents. The buffet was enjoyable, featuring an omelet and crepe bar, though the meat options were somewhat limited. Despite that, we had a wonderful stay!

Tropical Deluxe Princess was a great 5 night stay for our family of 5 (kids are 10, 7, & 5 yo). The pools were nice and the kids waterpark area was a good touch. The beach was nice as well. Overall for the price, the food was good. The resort itself is in good condition and they do a good job of upkeep. The staff were pretty helpful. The only con I would have would be the app to book your restaurant reservations. The app would crash frequently so we would have to keep checking back in to see if it was working. I learned that you can only book reservations 3 days or less out so I think when the reservations would open up around 6 pm, the app would have trouble keeping up. Overall, I would recommend Tropical Deluxe Princess. It seemed to be very family friendly and the entire family had a pretty good time!

This was a really hard review to make. The hotel itself is really nice. Grounds are well kept, food is really good, the kids waterpark was awesome, beach was great. I had to lower the stars only because of the room itself. The room was falling apart. Toilet didnt flush properly, toilet paper roll falling off the wall, pull out bunkbed mattress super uncomfortable, shower sprayed everywhere, we were never giving enough towels for the people in our room, and I could go on. The room is a 1 out of 5 star but once you leave the room, the resort is almost 5 out of 5. The only other slight negative was very few employees spoke english so it was hard when you had a question and it was hard to get a beach chairs because people reserved them all before 7am.

I usually do not do reviews. BUT Tropical Princess you were amazing. 10/10. From check in to check out. everyone was VERY accommodating. Bralin at the restaurants YOU were everything! hospitality 10/10. Perfect hotel for families. The hotel is right on the beach, theres many pools, sports bar with mini arcade on the 2nd floor. ALL the bartenders at the bar are fast and efficient. The rooms are very spacious. My phone fell in the beach water, and they gave me uncooked rice to put my phone in. The staff here are amazing. They recommend and call you safe taxi drivers as well. I can't wait to take my family back here.

Overall I was disappointed with the property for several reasons. The first - they do not offer a shuttle service. I was told they did and when we were flying out attempting to book I was told they do not. They couldn’t get their machine to work to take our card - we had to try x3 cards and wait an hour to try again. The room balcony did not lock - even after we had some come fix it. It rained and the drain on the balcony was clogged so we had standing water on our balcony during our entire stay. The adult rolm had no way to open the window and air the room out so we had a stagnant wet musty smelling room during our stay. The inclusive adult beverages were okay - slushes with alcohol. They don’t allow people in the pools after 7pm - which is hard when you have teenagers. You have to make food reservations for restaurants via the app but most are book day of and even the next day. The amount of food you get at some of the restaurants wasn’t enough and my kids ended up going to the buffet after the restaurant to get decent portions. We booked an excursion through the seapro at the resort and it was an awful experience that was over an hour late in picking us up and didn’t provide enough snorkels for my family and didn’t do half the things the trip said would be done. I was able to talk with the Seapro desk and get a $100 dollar refund from our $300 excursion. Lastly, the resort was expensive - to get anti-itch cream and aloe lotion cost us $75 US dollars!

Just finished a week there with our family. No complaints, no concerns, great pools, beach and service staff. Clean, tidy. Well maintained. Easy check in. Booked shuttle through Expedia and it went smoothly.
