Caracola was great for dinner, but really didn’t know how to do breakfast. Unfortunately that is where breakfast was served all mornings. We were rarely given what was on the menu. The cooks don’t follow the menu.
It was windy so we couldn’t enjoy the water activities. There was limited activities outside of that. It made it more disappointing that the pool and hot tubs closed soooo early (7pm).
The hot tubs were also cold for hot tubs. Very room temperature.
We were not well informed about how to reserve activities like exercise classes. The butler system would work, but the butlers aren’t always responsive and it’s not completely clear who is working or not. Then the website also wasn’t working well so you could not just reserve things for yourself. This made reserving activities very difficult and all the things we did want to do, were booked. Even for dinner the website said reservations were full, but we were 2 of maybe 30 people in the whole resort and there was no way reservations were full.
No atm on the property, made further preparation for daily activities more difficult.
We also had yellow water in our jacuzzi. My guess is it was from rusty pipes, but it was weird.
Small beach. Only limited boundaries for kayaks and paddle boards.
Could have probably given 2 stars, but it is very new so it has a lot of potential to take reviews like these and get much better!
