True to picture - but improvements necessary
The visit was made complete by one individual working there who was great and attentive - the rest of the personnel did not give the impression like they were running a hotel.
The great individual in the cap was very service minded and polite, other than him they have improvements to do. I.e the booking was at first not recognized as they claimed that they had double booked the room, whereas they offered us another room not close to what we had booked. However at last they managed to solve it in a good way. There were also small nuisances such as having to ask for the WiFi password 6-7 times before receiving it three days later. There isn’t any reception or any information on what is available on the property. The spa was never seen. It took thirty minutes on the day of departure to solve the simple fact that the visit was already paid for through Hotels.com.
The property is located on the beach and true to picture in general. As it is on/close to the beach, be prepared for many ants, occasional cockroaches etc indoor. It is a very quiet, calm and peaceful place which we learned is unusual for the area - it contributed much to the experience after the daily trips to Hikkaduwa. It takes approximately 10 minutes to go to Hikkaduwa by tuktuk.
The beach is clean and you’re practically there by yourself on a strip of beach approx. 1km long.
We recommend the hotel if you’re looking for a relaxing holiday close to the beach.
