Just a mediocre hotel that can only get away with it because of the lack of competition. The special highlight of my stay was the heating in my room not working on the coldest night of the year so far. The staff did provide a small radiator which helped a bit but the whole place is just shabby and run down

Lots of anti social behaviour outside...once inside it was fine but I feel for the locals dealing with this. Piles of rubbish, drug and alcohol evidence eberywhere. Hotel is functional but dated, service very good. Travelled alone but was in a family room with sofa bed made up unusually. Good TV and casting options. Room service quality good but v. Expensive. Fish dish £23 £5 service charge...but good quality despite high cost. Wouldn't stay again due to feeling unsafe around hotel location

Hotel is conveniently located in centre, room was comfortable. Breakfast is good. Parking available at extra charge and needs to be pre-booked over phone. Our pre-booking seemed to have been lost but luckily they had spaces that night.

Great hotel, poor breakfast
The hotel is very well located, rooms are clean and comfortable and the spa facilities are pretty good considering the price of rooms. Breakfast was poor though, probably the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had unfortunately. Fruit and cereal section looked okay but I was having a fry up, which was all cold and tasteless (apart from the bacon which was just really salty)
