Our stay was ok. The building is clearly older and while some things have been “updated” some have not. We got a “suite”, the kitchen was a sink/stove top/fridge all in one unit straight out of 1975, not sure how it would pass code today. We didn’t use it so I can’t speak to how well it worked. The room had a peculiar smell that wasn’t strong but was there and bothered me whenever we were in the room. The bed was reasonably comfortable.

The hotel is noticeably older which wouldn’t be so bad if it was cleaner. The pool did not have a clock which seemed unsafe considering the rules on the wall state 10 minutes in the hot tub. There also were only a few towels left in the pool and it seemed like the front staff was not bothered about it. However, you get what you pay for and aside from the uncleanliness the beds were comfortable.

Light in bathroom was joined with fan…which was horribly loud every time the light was on. When we got to our room, our TV didn’t work & a bad sewer type smell by the fridge/bathroom area. Called front desk & we were put in a new room which was ok. Old/dirty carpeting in hallways. No elevators…had to lug our luggage to 2nd. Floor. Would not stay there again…subpar for the price I paid.

If you’re just looking for a place to stop and rest your head for the night this place is fine. It’s a little outdated, bed was comfortable in my opinion, the room I stayed in was clean. They have a pool and hot tub. Tim Hortons, Denny’s, gas stations just a short walk away.

No one disclosed to me they had insecticides in my room. My dog was in the room and became exposed to the chemicals and the insect traps.
