Only small complaint would be the hotel bar drinks are a little overpriced. Got a nice rate on the room and accommodations are quite nice.

The Waters is a great place when you want kid fun but not Wisconsin Dells prices. We go several times a year when visiting our grandkids (ages 8 & 9) up north. The indoor water park is small, with 2 pools, a great slide, and a little kiddie fun pool. The rooms are big and bright, and the staff is always pleasant and welcoming. The only shortfall is the limited dining, which is pretty much pub fare. Not much for vegetarians except frozen crust pizza. But the grandkids like mini corn dogs, so it’s fine.

The Swamp at Minoqua

Stayed at the Waters for a xc ski race. The biggest issue was the constant noise and banging on the floor from the room above us. We were on the second floor. After it was obvious that it wasn’t just a passing noise, but fairly constant, we called the front desk to complain. The young lady didn’t seem like dealing with us, but came to our room and we told her the situation. She says she spoke to the cave people in the room above us, and the noise still went on, even more like they really wanted to piss us off. I followed up the the useless girl at the front desk and she says nothing we can do, and to divert attention from themselves said we got a really good rate from Expedia, which is not the case. And mentioned our two dogs, who were very quiet all weekend. She tells me the people above have an infant, but I’m not aware of an infant jumping around like there is a thunderstorm going on. This girl at the front desk was very combative towards me and very argumentative. This banging started around 7 am both mornings and continued on until “quiet time” at 10 pm. Other issues were no one shoveled the paltry inch or so of snow on Sunday morning, the two treadmills were junk and slipped, although if someone was injured on them they probably wouldn’t do anything about it. Just a horrible stay all around, and we have stayed here before and never had any issues. Talking to a manager didn’t help, she recommended us confronting thembut that will not be a good idea.

I've stayed at most of the Minocqua motels over the years, and I think, for a basic room, this is probably the nicest and best value in town. Rooms are large, modern, and comfortable. It is nice to have the pub and food available onsite, though the selection is pretty limited. Two quibbles: (1) the breakfast offering is pretty basic, though typical for motels, and (2) I wish the rooms had carpet. My room had bare vinyl plank flooring throughout, which seems a bit cold.

Rambunctious and out of control children running up and down the halls and knocking on doors. Parents are MIA at all times even when kids are in the hot tub. Staff is unhelpful, unprofessional, and unfit to run a hotel/resort. Didn’t/couldn’t stay all night which sucked because we had 1 good night months ago. Food DOES suck. Pump for hot tub outside was not working. Sydney needs some training on how to deal with guests. “You still have to pay” she says as I left early on my own before midnight. Seriously.

My room was spacious and clean. It was comfortable with a couch, new fixtures, and large screen tv. The lobby is large an pleasant with central fireplace. The onsite pub has a limited menu but was good and convenient. The free breakfast on the other hand was disappointing. Very limited selection. No hot food, a few small oranges. Instant oatmeal, off- brand dry cereal.
