Thank God I was at Arena Leme Hotel!

My stay at Arena Leme Hotel was amazing. I wish they had little things that people may forget to travel with, like an iron, but other than that, the hotel staff was great. Especially the front desk staff (Elizabeth). She was the best. I had so many problems with my bank and phone service, but she made me comfortable and worked with me until it was resolved. I would definitely stay there again

The staff was very, very nice. The breakfast was ok, not the best, but it was good. It was buffet style but didn't have much to choose from. The Rooftop was nice, and the gym was acceptable (it has 1 all-in-one and 2 treadmills), but it served its purpose. Honestly, the best part was the views, helpful staff, and the fact that I could walk onto the beach in less than a minute. If I come back to Rio, I'll be staying in the same hotel!

Unwanted downgrade

I added this one night stay after a few day stay with our tour company. The tour company booked us the cheapest room with two twins and a view of a building. I asked for a triple with oceanfront view on the last day booked separately. I received a twin room with oceanview and was not refunded the difference.

I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS…..This was my first time visiting Rio De Janeiro. Brazil is beautiful. I arrived at the hotel and was greeted by Gabriel who was amazing with the check in and accommodations, However once i entered my hotel room i noticed it wasn’t cleaned properly the bathroom had mold and there were what appeared to be blood stains on the bathroom floor. House cleaning arrived and i pointed out that the bathroom was not clean. she cleaned up the blood stains as opposed to cleaning the entire floor and quickly left. I called the reception area and the phone fell out the wall and i observed a large hole in the wall. the mirror fell off along with the fixtures and it was a complete nightmare. I tried to not let it ruin my trip i kindly asked for another room and was quickly accommodated the next day. The next room seemed good I headed out to dinner with my family that evening and when i returned there was a pool of water along with a leaking ceiling from the air conditioning vents. again house keeping and maintenance was called. this process ensued for the duration of my stay. I would never return there and wouldn’t advise you to either. the icing on the cake was when capital one notified me that i had been charged twice following my departure. Rio is beautiful i loved it despite my hotel dilemma. it’s affordable lots of quaint shops cafe restaurants fresh food i loved it i hope to return one day.

This hotel was at the end of the Leme beach, but it is nicely tucked away and only ~20 minutes walk to Copacabana Beach. There was 24 hours security and 24 hour front desk staff. The rooms were clean and sufficient, but the breakfast is subpar. There could definitely be improvements in the selection that is served. The pool on the roof could also use cleaning. The staff was extremely nice and had good points on tourism. Would certainly return AND recommend!

Great option by the beach!

This is a great option by the beach, I would recommend this hotel. Great view, very large rooms. Note to the hotel staff: a few things to improve: There are currently no umbrellas for the sun loungers, so it's very difficult to stay there when it's full sun/35C. Adding a few would vastly improve everyone's experience. Additional cleaning of the pool needed, the pool did not seem clean, so I did not dare to use it.

Fabulous hotel with rooftop pool. I would have given it an excellent score but for a couple of little things. The staff were really lovely, helpful and friendly. The little things that niggled were: no tea and coffee making facilities in room, no drawers to put anything in. No means of drying items. Upstairs there are 6 sunloungers but you can’t use umbrellas over them. And last was the layout of the breakfast area, when it’s busy it’s a bit of a claustrophobic nightmare
