This casita provided a comfortable, quiet, relaxing place to stay. The porch and the dock both offer a nice place to read a book or watch the ocean. If you fill the hummingbird feeder with sugar water, it will be busy with numerous hummingbirds. The host and property manager communicate well and are very responsive.
The kitchen is reasonably equipped and together with the grill, cooking is pretty easy. A guy comes by to sell fish and seafood. Since we did not rent a car, we had our shuttle stop at Eldons supermarket on the way from the airport. There wasn't much in the way of groceries or restaurants close within walking distance. (There is a gas station/convenience store less than 10 mins walk - they have mostly snacks and drinks, etc. but they also sell prepared foods, and the baleadas arecheap and quite good.) A taxi to West End is about $3 per person, or there is a local route that vans drive that are a bit cheaper ($2 to West End). Just stand by the road, someone will stop. The snorkeling at the reef was quite good. It's about a 10 min swim to get there. You have to swim across the "channel" that boats use, but traffic is pretty rare. The swim to the reef is worth the effort. There is also a dive operation just a short walk up the beach. They also do snorkel excursions. Overall, a low-key, no-frills, comfortable place to stay.
