Its nice enough and convenient for Mayo appointments. We always park in the parking ramp down the block which also connects to the walking subway. The hotel underground parking is really tight.

This is a dowager hotel. It is old, on the downside, with the owners making lots and lots of money, and reinvesting little to maintain it. On return visits to Mayo I will definitely not stay here. Also, the restaurant does not open until 7:00 AM. New patients to Mayo have to check in at 7:30. This leaves no time for breakfast.

The room was quiet and comfortable, but had a terrible musty smell that we really noticed when we first walked in. The hotel was very convenient to our Mayo appointments. We would stay again if they can fix the bad smell!

When on arrival it seemed like the woman checking me in was more focused on her cell phone and almost made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her. Their parking almost encourages for vehicles to get damaged with how close you have to park together. Their ramps between levels have signs saying 2 way traffic for them but there is only enough space for one. The rooms are someone nice but lacking things like options to watch on tv…I think there was like 20 channels. Their WiFi is very slow. They have the option to check out of your room via the tv but kept crashing when I tried. Be careful for the extra fees. I paid the hotel reservation for 1 night but yet the parking they say is included with the room I found a charge for after I left. Convenience is nice being across the street from Mayo Clinic but that’s about it.

This property overcharged me twice over the initial property payment for rooms. They told me it would all be refunded and I am still waiting. Our room was not cleaned once in our two week stay. We had to take out the trash and ask for more bags. We reported a plumbing problem that existed before we got into our room. Was told we had to go buy a plunger because maintenance goes home at 9pm. Then we found out it was a person not doing her job and taking the way out. She moved us rooms later in the night. It was after 10pm then. No one could tell me why we were overcharged. No one could tell me why a cleaning wasn’t done. The only thing this hotel has for it is the location. Even the staff inside the restaurant were rude. Good was good. Service was horrible. Parking is pretty narrow and hard to come by even though you pay for it. We’d consider staying for the location but the hotel Itself was not ideal and would stay anywhere else and there are other options.

This property has just one redeeming quality, and that is its proximity to the Mayo Clinic. Convenient and walkable distance to the Clinic. Otherwise, it is as it's billed. A 3-star hotel. It's showing its age, and as other reviewers have noted, it's in dire need of remodeling. Average in the most strict sense of the word. Due to some unforeseen circumstances in my case, my family finished all testing at the Clinic way earlier than expected. The hotel management has been very unreasonable about this change - and I'm still fighting for even a partial refund. I'm reasonable in that I should pay for an additional day (even despite vacating by checkout time). But for days beyond that one? Only greed comes to mind. Fair warning to prospective customers, if you're plans might change for any reason, do not book ahead with this property. You'll regret their blatantly unfriendly approach to such disagreement resolution.

There wasn't anywhere to park my pickup and trailer but the guy at the desk said I could park in the lot behind them and he would call them in the morning. I did and had no issues with it
