Pros: The location was superb, with a private path directly to a vast, beautiful beach with sea stacks nearby. There were four rooms with queen beds, which was great for our all-adult group of 7. The property management company communicated well, check-in was easy with clear instructions and the place was clean when we arrived. The deck is large and has great views. The fire pit was great.
Cons: The photos make everything look much more spacious, light and airy than it actually is. There were several janky things about the place: One big window in the eating area had a murky white film in between the panes, obscuring the view. The oven door hinges were really tight, requiring yanking it open fully. The grill didn't get hot enough to cook our dinner fully. Most of the sheets were the cheap-o synthetic stuff. The screen door from the living room to the deck was stuck in place/didn't slide. The furniture was typical low-budget rental stuff.
Now, none of this would be a big deal if this place wasn't hundreds of dollars per night more expensive than other similarly sized properties in the area. At the price we paid, I expected it to just be nicer and not have some of these fixable issues. The property has been on the market for a number of months and it is clearly not a priority of the owners to spend any money on it.
Don't be duped by the higher price - it definitely doesn't mean it's nicer. It is not.
