This is a guest house that is kept in good shape, it’s clean and quaint. There are a handful of rooms and a common kitchen area with coffee and tea. The beds are comfortable and the three rooms are nicely decorated. The towels are clean but need to be updated. You feel like you’re visiting family during your Roman holiday :) Gianluca is very responsive and accommodating.

Breakfast It's a little strange that in the profile has "breakfast available", but they didn't put if we have to pay or its included. Anyway, we were totally upset that we weren't attended to a decent breakfast! We did talk to the manager and he tried to correct us saying that in all sites was "breakfast is not included", and he was selling us a third-party breakfast. So we had this problem. Shower We had a lot of problem to correct the temperature of the shower, we didn't touch any millimeter, and it was getting colder and hotter alternatively... Security They gave us 3 keys: 2 from outside and one from our room. For some reason the outside door was ALWAYS open. So we weren't really feeling safe because the location was too busy, a lot of people comes and goes by. Luggage The manager said that we could leave our luggage in the reception but how can we trust in a place that has nobody in the front table? Anyone could be there just having the password of the entry, the guests were inside the location and they had access to the reception.

Gianluca was very welcoming. He arranged a shuttle from the airport and greeted us at the door of the el dorado. The area was fantastic and had many great restaurants close by and access to the tourist attractions.

Great accommodation - highly recommend! Close by the Vatican and walking distance from the main attractions (bit of a walk but still doable as there’s lots to see and cafes to drop by in between! Room is a good size and very clean, friendly staff.

This is our second stay at the El Dorado Vatican! Great location to visit the Vatican and other sites. Nice restaurants nearby. The staff is great and very accommodating! The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed using the shared kitchen area. We would definitely stay there again!

This is a very small, quaint place. Cloae to walking to shops and restaurants. Its antique architecture and placement were beautiful. However, remember to bring your own foos, drinks, and entertainment for thw hotwl stay. They had offered instant coffe in a very cute kitchenette setting, thwy have appliances there for all your cooking needs. This was a very memorable stay for us.

Loved the location. Walkable to Vatican, of course but accessible to everything across the river surrounding Plaza Navona and much more. A very high recommend if you enjoy walking. A fantastic grocery store one block away as well as tons of restaurants, shopping and other amenities. Bed and pillows were comfortable, room clean and AC worked very well.

Perfect base for our trip to Rome. Gianlucca and his team were excellent: friendly, prompt responses to texts, helpful, polite. We felt supported should we have needed it. Lots to do in the area - unfortunately both the local metro stations were closed during our trip but the bus services are excellent so used those instead. Would recommend. Caio

The property is very conveniently located to the vatican. There is also many shops and dinning options nearby so you wont have any issues finding dinning. There is also a supermarket very closeby if you want to have some things in the room. Overall very good experience

I recently stayed at El Dorado Vatican Hotel and, overall, my experience was mixed. The property feels more like a guest house rather than a hotel, which was not quite what I was expecting. Personally, I would have preferred a traditional hotel setting for several reasons, including the enhanced safety and convenience typically associated with hotels. One major drawback was the elevator situation. The elevator is very small, which is manageable, but it is turned off late at night and only reactivated at a certain time in the morning. This posed an inconvenience, especially on the day of our checkout, when we had to carry our luggage down from the fourth floor. On a positive note, the owner was very kind and welcoming, which added a nice personal touch to our stay. However, despite the owner's hospitality, I would likely choose a hotel for my next visit for the added convenience and amenities. Overall, if you're looking for a more home-like atmosphere and don't mind the limitations, this place could be a good fit. However, if you prefer the typical conveniences of a hotel, you might want to consider other options.
