Overall the place was nice. Staff was GREAT. Felt secure. Rooftop bar had an amazing view of the trevi fountain. This hotel is literally directly in front of the fountain!!! Super loud garbage pickup every day around 4 to 5AM...Wear earplugs! Also the rooftop bar could use some background music - you could hear a pin drop - a little uncomfortable to have a conversation or even laugh in that place. Our room flooring was wood and after walking around all day I personally found it gross to take off my shoes and walk around barefoot in the hotel room since they do not mop them daily. However, I would definitely stay here again though.

This is an old property with small rooms. Keep expectations as such. Good: location is excellent with direct view of the Trevi fountain (if you pay for that option). Staff: very nice and accommodating. Bad: small rooms with old some non functional things especially in the bathroom. I really wanted the view, but 4 nights was too much. If I were to re-do, I’d book for 1 night and then move to a nicer place for same price :)

Wow! We are loving our one night stay in the Hotel Fontana! Our room overlooks the Trevi Fountain. Like a dream! Our room is clean and comfortable and we are thoroughly satisfied. We are looking forward to our hotel breakfast in the morning, included in the price!

Staying at Hotel Fontana was wonderful experience. Super convenient and safe. I was with my 9 years old son and it was amazing. We loved it. The stuff was very helpful and friendly. We had a room with a view, and it was simply gorgeous. The hotel is very old- its a old building so dont be surprised- but it was super charming and amazing. We will definitely come back . Sending love from New York! Love Rome❤️

This hotel is in the best location with restaurants and shops close by. The trevi fountain right outside was a big plus. We got the room that looks out to the fountain. It’s not a fancy type of hotel but it has a spectacular view of the Trevi Fountain. It was good enough for us because we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room. Staff was friendly. Breakfast that came with our stay was so so. It’s not an American style breakfast. It was good enough for us.

Great Location! Good not great hotel.
The view from our bedroom and location of the hotel next to Trevi Fountain was unparalleled. We loved getting to people watch and to hear the fountain running. Great spot. The sheets, bathroom and room in general felt very clean. The breakfast was delicious with a great view during breakfast and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The air conditioning and ceiling fan worked great. Downsides-the mattress and pillows were old(I mean it’s an old hotel). The bathrooms are on the smaller side. Ours was actually decent size but the one my in-laws stayed in had a very tiny bathroom/shower. There is noise throughout the night with people visiting Trevi fountain but unless I was awake already it didn’t really disrupt me. Overall we loved our stay, we probably wouldn’t stay here again but really it was just because of the mattress and pillows which I feel is the real purpose of a hotel. I would recommend it to others who really want a fantastic location right in the heart of everything. Next to great restaurants, gelato shops and souvenir shops.

I had the worst experience for this hotel. I came into my room the bathroom is so small they had no cold water so it was only burning hot the toulet seat and TOILET were broken and i jad made tbat clear to them until the secpnd day i said something again and they blamed me!!! For hreaking a WHOLE ASA TOIELT! I HAD 4 MEN TRYONG TO TELL ME NOT TO YELL AND I NEED TO BE QUITE!!! Outrageous! Would NOT recommend to anyone. Solo traveler and the only thing i liked waa the view of the fountain but it was so noisy ALL night with proposals so good lyck sleeping ! Save your money and go next dopr. Rooms arw much better ans people are a lot kinder.
